Our Story

Siobhan McManus, F.A.O.I., originally from Mullingar, returned to her home town after gathering extensive experience in Dublin and London and opened Mullingar Opticians in 2003 followed by Enfield Opticians in 2006. Siobhan’s colleague, Cliona McCormack, F.A.O.I., also has a wealth of experience under her belt. Working closely with Siobhan and Cliona are the front of house staff Michelle, and Marie in Enfield; and Edel, Jayne, and Sharon in Mullingar. All our staff strive to ensure all customer service is second to none. Great care is taken with every patient on frame selection, dispensing of lens type, and final fitting. In particular, we pride ourselves on keeping up to date on all aspects of the optical world from the clinical to the fashionable.

We have all the latest technology for the Testing Room allowing us to keep a complete record of the health of each patient’s eyes.

This is invaluable especially for patients who have eye problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma, macular degeneration, or indeed any patient who has a family history of eye disease. We are also experts in children's dispensing. We spend important time finding the perfect frame for your child. We offer an extensive range of frames including an ophthalmologist-designed range, and we are very budget-aware! We stock an extensive range of frames from the top designers including Max Mara, Carolina Herrera, Kate Spade, Swarovski, Police, Diesel - to name but a few.
