I recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health (Sport and Exercise) though DCU during the last year.
This program helped me learn advanced information and practical abilities regarding women’s health throughout their entire lives. The course was centered on improving my understanding, practical skills, and awareness of current topics, new discoveries, and complex ideas within the field of women's health. This included studying the natural changes in a woman's body, hormones, and physical functions during different stages of life, such as puberty, pregnancy, after giving birth, and menopause. I also learned about common issues related to pelvic floor health, both function and dysfunction, and advanced rehabilitation techniques for supporting women at any age through tailored exercise and physical activity.
