Thanks to the Clare Champion who paid a visit to the clinic this week to do a feature. Mother Mary "Needles!" slipped quietly into retirement during Covid restrictions without getting a proper chance to say goodbye to the patients and families she had built up such a long relationship with. This article was a great look back on the hard work she put in to building up the clinic and an acknowledgement of the repore she and her assistant Irene Moloney (nee Coffee) RIP, had with everyone who visited over the years, while exploring the possibility of a 3rd generation of McNamara's working in Turnpike Clinic!

Acupuncture for cancer survivors
Attending the Dutch TCM Congress this weekend and meeting colleagues from all over Europe. Of particular interest were lectures on acupuncture for those finished their cancer treatment and providing support to those dealing with symptoms and challenges in the aftermath.

We were at the Ploughing Championships this week with fellow acupuncturists from around the country helping to raise awareness about acupuncture and demonstrate treatment options available to visitors to the stand.

We remember fondly this week our great friend and colleague Irene Moloney on the 5th anniversary of her passing. Irene's warmth, fondness for people and empathy epitomised everything our clinic encompasses.
