New Physiotherapist to Ennis

Ediezer (Eddie) Vigo is a Chartered Physiotherapist who we are glad to welcome to Ennis. Eddie will be working with us in Turnpike Clinic a few days each week. Eddie has a special interest in sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and complex musculoskeletal conditions affecting the neck, shoulders, spine, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.
His professional training spans three regions, beginning with undergraduate education in the Philippines, followed by a Master’s degree from the University of Galway. He is currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Leeds (UK). He also brings extensive clinical experience from working in the Middle East, treating a broad range of orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and sports-related conditions across diverse clinical settings.
His treatment approach integrates advanced manual therapy, precision-based rehabilitation programmes, and clear, individualized education. Each care plan is carefully tailored to reduce pain, restore movement, and support long-term recovery, so patients can return to their daily and sporting activities with confidence and control. Thanks to the Clare Champion who paid a visit to the clinic this week to do a feature. Mother Mary "Needles!" slipped quietly into retirement during Covid restrictions without getting a proper chance to say goodbye to the patients and families she had built up such a long relationship with. This article was a great look back on the hard work she put in to building up the clinic and an acknowledgement of the repore she and her assistant Irene Moloney (nee Coffee) RIP, had with everyone who visited over the years, while exploring the possibility of a 3rd generation of McNamara's working in Turnpike Clinic!

Acupuncture for cancer survivors
Attending the Dutch TCM Congress this weekend and meeting colleagues from all over Europe. Of particular interest were lectures on acupuncture for those finished their cancer treatment and providing support to those dealing with symptoms and challenges in the aftermath.

We remember fondly this week our great friend and colleague Irene Moloney on the 5th anniversary of her passing. Irene's warmth, fondness for people and empathy epitomised everything our clinic encompasses. Along with her husband Josie who passed away in October 2023 and wonderful family, she is Forever in our thoughts ❤️
