🌟 Weekend coming up? Here’s how to stay on plan without feeling restricted 🌟
Weekends can be the trickiest time — different routines, family plans, tiredness, treats, takeaways, nights out… all the things that can pull you off track.
But staying on plan doesn’t have to mean saying no to your weekend.
It just means having a few simple, realistic strategies in your pocket.
✔️ 1. Plan your meals (loosely!)
Not strict rules — just a rough idea of what you’ll eat.
It stops the “ah sure, I’ll grab anything” moment that leads to three days off plan.
✔️ 2. Keep your favourite Free Foods handy
Fruit, eggs, pasta, chicken, salad bits — whatever you reach for when you want something quick.
When healthy options are right there, everything feels easier.
✔️ 3. Don’t save up your swips
It backfires. You end up starving, overdoing it later and feeling annoyed with yourself.
Use them normally — they’re built in for a reason.
✔️ 4. Choose swaps that still feel like treats
Fakeaway curry… big bowls of pasta… Slimming World chips…
Meals that feel special and keep you on track.
✔️ 5. If you’re going out — decide before you go
A simple plan like:
“I’ll enjoy my meal and count my swips, but I’ll skip dessert”
keeps you in control without any guilt.
✔️ 6. Don’t let one moment write off the whole weekend
One choice is just one choice.
You’re still on track the second you pick up from the next meal.
✔️ 7. Remember your ‘why’
Think about how you want to feel on Tuesday or Saturday morning… proud, lighter, confident…
That feeling is worth so much.
