Active Recovery Session this morning with Fermoy Senior Hurlers following yesterday’s victory over Mallow.
6 day turn around for these lads as they face Bandon next Saturday evening.

The Nordic Curl is another eccentric hamstring exercise I use in our pitch warm up with Fermoy GAA.
Players here are doing 3 reps each.

A few very dodgy reps in here that need tidying up!!

The GAA club season is now well into “silly season” after been idle since the end of April!

A good injury prevention exercise for the hamstrings is the eccentric hamstring slider, shown in the video below.

Remember the hamstring acts as “break” when running so it needs to be strengthened in that lengthening position.

Give it a try in your next Gym session, I’d recommend 3 sets x 5 reps each side 👍🏻
