Systolic 120-134 / Diastolic 70-84 mmHg is a new category of Elevated Home Blood Pressure. Elevated Blood Pressure and hypertension are by far the most common and important risk factors for Heart Attack and Stroke ( called CVD cardiovascular disease).

As we approach short and dull days in Ireland do not forget how important day light is for us.

Excellent alternative for those spending days in the office.

Symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder ( please do not confuse S.A.D with Depression)
Those days the term "Depression" is overused by many ...

My recommendation if you experience S.A.D

- exercise 💪 ( cardio + resistance training)
You can start walking daily but walk it's just a fresh air ... won't be as effective.

- review your diet
- sleep pattern
- Vit D supplementation is a must
- S.A.D Light box phototherapy

This is a paincloudification of an amazing slide from Lars Avemaries brilliant webinar "Modulation of pain and pain processing". The percentages are just an example.

We should all focus on our patients this way. A lot of factors play a role in the pain experience. Nociception is important, but there is so much more to it than only nociception.

Pulmonary 🫁 rehabilitation:

- improve dyspnoea, health status and exercise tolerance in stable patients
- reduces hospitalisation among patients with recent exacerbation
- reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression
( according to GOLD 2022)
