When the Body Remembers …!
Only a few weeks ago, on International Women’s Day, I treated myself to a beautiful piano and Tibetan bowls session offered by a friend from Italy.
Beautiful in its simplicity, yet very powerful in its effect.
During the session, I went into a deeply relaxed state – half dreamy, half awake – like having a thousand dreams all at once. As you can see in the photo, I was “somewhere else”. Straight after the session, I didn’t remember any of the dreams. How could you recall a thousand of them? How?
The biggest part of it came later, during the night, when I had that healing “experience”. I call it an “experience” because it wasn’t a regular dream. It came in the form of a dream, but it didn’t feel like one. I’ve only had about 10 such experiences in my life.
The healing was powerful. It reached something connected to trauma related to concentration camps in Poland. For the past five years, I’ve been aware of this trauma being stored in my body’s consciousness.
I still don’t know whether it’s connected to my granny, who survived the camps, or something of my own. Recently, I’ve even found myself wondering if I was there too – in a previous life. Is it possible for the soul to reincarnate so quickly into a new body?
Whatever the answer, there is one thing I feel certain about: it was concentration camp trauma that was being released that night.
Another thing I’m sure of is that it came after the sound bath session I had just a couple of hours before.
This is how powerful sound can be, even when only one or two singing bowls are used.
This profound experience encouraged me to use my own Harmony bowls at the next Self-Love Sunday event. They’ve been sitting quietly for the past few months, only used for 1:1 healing.
