It is such a joy to hear back from people I treated long, long time ago, far, far away in a distant country ;) It is such a beautiful reminder of the importance of the work we do, assisting women to conceive and to carry to term. This is Sharon's lovely testimony. She was one of my very first clients coming for fertility treatments as I started out in the late nineties in Sydney.

I am writing to you from Adelaide, Australia, to send my very belated thanks to a wonderful practitioner you have in your midst – Iris Sollie. Iris treated me for endometriosis 25 years ago and as a result I was able to conceive my beautiful daughter Hannah. Hannah will be turning 25 in October this year. She lives in Sydney not far from where she was conceived, and is finishing her arts degree in philosophy, politics and indigenous studies at the University of NSW. She is in a loving relationship with her partner Jeremy and plans to work and travel next year.



Iris treated me in her practice at the top of the stairs in King Street, Newtown in Sydney when I was 38 years old (1998). I had pretty much given up on the possibility of ever conceiving a child, as my partner Andrew and I had been trying for more than six years. I often tell the story to my friends and family about how my conversation with Iris went that day. Iris asked if I was trying to get pregnant and I said ‘yes that is my main goal’. Iris then said ‘well if you take these herbs and I treat you with acupuncture for the next 3 months we may just be able to achieve that. Shall we give it go?’ I was mighty sceptical, but loved Iris’ confidence and decided in that moment to go ahead. Three months later to the day I became pregnant with Hannah!



Today, Iris popped into my head. I decided to look her up, thinking the chances of locating her would be virtually impossible. But with the wonders of the Internet, suddenly there she was, staring at me from across the waves via her photo on The Crane Clinic website.



Hello Iris!!!! Thank you for the gift of Hannah all those years ago!



I’m sure you probably have many similar stories, but this is my story and so I wanted you to know that you were a very instrumental in bringing joy and purpose to my life. I am very grateful to you for taking my health issues seriously and for working with me to help me to conceive Hannah. Of course, Hannah’s Dad also played his part, but together we got the job done!
