Some days you’re soft.
Some days you’re tired.
And some days you’re a cactus. Prickly. Protective. Still standing.
Here’s the thing people don’t talk about enough in mental health and self-esteem conversations. Being “strong” doesn’t mean being endlessly accommodating. It means having boundaries, even when that makes others uncomfortable.
A cactus survives because it knows when to conserve water.
It doesn’t bloom all the time.
It doesn’t explain itself to the desert.
If you’re learning boundary setting, healing from people pleasing, or rebuilding self worth, this matters.
You are allowed to say no without a paragraph.
You are allowed to protect your energy.
You are allowed to grow at your own pace.
In therapy, we often explore why being firm feels like being “mean.”
We unpack old beliefs, family dynamics, and past relationships that taught you survival meant self-abandonment. And slowly, you learn a new skill. Choosing yourself without guilt.
At Peace Inside, therapy is a space where you don’t have to shrink to be accepted.
You get to grow. Even with a few spikes.
🌿 You’re not too much. You’re just learning to take up space.
