It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Christina (Chris) Finan (née Feeney), Laragh, Ballintubber, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon, on the 23rd April, 2026.
Chris passed away peacefully in the care of Roscommon Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents, Tom and Mary, and her siblings Tom, Margaret, Anne and Jack.

Chris is lovingly remembered by her husband Michael and her daughter Niamh (Kenny) and son-in-law Sean.

Chris is also mourned by her sisters Nora (Treacy) and Mary Feeney (London), her brothers Pat (Bristol) and Peter (London), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as her nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

this Saturday evening 25th April 2026 from 5 PM to 7 PM.
Removal from her family home in Laragh on Sunday morning 26th April 2026,

arriving at St. Bride’s Church, Ballintubber for Mass of the Resurrection at 1 PM,
followed by burial in Ballintubber Cemetery.

Frances Griffin (née Tarmey), Durrow House, Ballymoe, Co Galway, formerly Kilnalag, Williamstown, County Galway, 7th April 2026, in her 96th year, passed away peacefully, Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her loving husband Kevin, her parents John and Ellen Tarmey, sister Jose and brothers Sonny, Jim and Paddy.

Deeply missed by her family and their children Gerry and his wife Mary, Pauline Sugrue and her husband Michael, Roy and his wife Anne, Dermot and his wife Norma, Annette and her partner John and Paul and his partner Susan, cherished Grandmother to Eoin, Kenneth, Gillian, Conor, Alan, Gavin, Ryan, Laura, Irwyn, Elliot, Ruth and Christopher, loving great grandmother to Mackenzie, Jackson, Patrick, Maebh, Sophia, Theodore, Donnacha, Caoimhe, Mila, Evan, Eabha, Cillian and Bronte, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many cherished friends.

Thursday 9th April reposing at her residence, Durrow House (F45 H280), from 4pm to 7pm

Friday 10th April removal from her residence to St. Croan’s Church, Ballymoe. (F45 R9Y4) for requiem mass at 12 noon.

Followed by interment afterwards in Kilcroan Cemetery, Ballymoe.(F45 YT54).

The family would like to thank the wonderful carers Ivory, Cynthia, and Natalie and Elaine for their kindness and care with Mum over the last few years. We would also like to thank the staff at Castlerea Medical Centre and Portiuncula Hospital for their care and thoughtfulness in her final hours.

The death has occurred of Maureen McNamara, Bookla, Ballymoe, County Galway, 26th March 2026 in her 94th year, peacefully, in the tender loving care of the dedicated staff of Áras Mhathair Phoil, Castlerea.

Predeceased by her husband Finney, infant son John, parents Thomas and Nora, brother Tommy and sister Kathleen (Sr. Monique)

Deeply regretted by her children Ann (Croghan, Leixlip), Cyril (Sligo), Monique (Fleming, Claregalway), Finbarr (Ballinaheglish), James (JJ, Dundalk) and Niall, son-in-law Brendan, daughters-in-law Sarah, Bernie, Ashling and Mary, grandchildren Paul, Michelle, Barry, Rachel, Niamh, Jake, Sean, River, Leah, Harry, Ross, Jade, Zach, Alex, Fionn and Ella, brothers Andrew and James, sister Margaret, niece, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Mary Gornall (nee Connolly), passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and friends, in the care of Sonas Nursing Home, Cloverhill on Wednesday 25th March 2026.

Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Nora Connolly, son Jonathon and grandson Eoghan.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband John, daughters Karen and Claire, sons in law Brendan and Mark, grandsons Cathal, Conor and Darragh, relatives, friends and neighbours.
