🪡 How Often Should You Get Acupuncture? 🤔

The number of acupuncture treatments depends on your body and your goals — here’s a quick guide:

✨ For Acute Pain or Injury:
📆 1–2 sessions/week for the first 2–4 weeks

🌿 For Chronic Conditions (like migraines, anxiety, or back pain):
📆 Weekly sessions for 4–8 weeks, then reassess

💆‍♀️ For Stress Relief + Maintenance:
📆 Every 2–4 weeks for wellness + balance

😁Feeling good & want to stay that way?
📅A session once a month keeps you balanced & thriving

✅ Consistency is key to see results! Acupuncture is a cumulative therapy — results often build over time 💪✨

Celebrating another breech to head down success! 🙌👶 After just 2 sessions of acupuncture and moxibustion, baby found their way into the optimal position at 36 weeks! 🎉

If your baby is breech and you're exploring your options, acupuncture and moxibustion might be worth a look.

This gentle, ancient technique is often used around 32–36 weeks to encourage baby into an ideal position — naturally and non-invasively. 💛

In celebration of valentine's day, a few things about the Heart meridian in chinese medicine and how it connects to our everyday life.

♥️The heart meridian originates in the heart organ ('the emperor' ), consisting of 9 acupuncture points and runs from the axilla to the tip of the little finger.

♥️The main function of the Heart is that it governs blood. The Heart is responsible for the circulation of blood just as it is in Western medicine.

♥️The Heart houses the mind or Shen. Shen is used to indicate the whole sphere of both the mental and spiritual aspects of humans.

♥️The emotion closely related to the heart is joy. Having a normal state of joy in one's life is a sign of a balanced heart meridian.

♥️Vitality of the Heart manifests in the face and is noted in your complexion. It opens into the tongue and affects speech.

♥️When the Heart is strong and Blood is abundant the emotions will be balanced, the memory will be strong and sleep will be good.

❤️Imbalances/ blockages in the heart meridian can result in :
🔺Palpitations
🔺Shortness of breath
🔺Depression
🔺Hysteria
🔺poor memory
🔺mental restlessness
🔺anxiety
🔺insomnia/ disturbed sleep
🔺Sweating disorder
🔺Poor circulation in the extremities

Happy World Acupuncture Day 📌⭐☯️🤗
☯️How acupuncture works -

Traditional acupuncture is based on the belief that an energy flows through the body in channels called meridians. This life force is known as Qi. When Qi does not flow freely through the body, this can cause illness. Acupuncture can restore the flow of Qi, and so restore health.
Western medical acupuncture (dry needling) is the use of acupuncture following a medical diagnosis. It involves stimulating sensory nerves under the skin and in the muscles. This results in a release of pain-relieving endorphins. These naturally released substances are responsible for the beneficial effects experienced with acupuncture.

🙇Use of Acupuncture -

A wide range of health conditions can be treated using acupuncture. Some which include sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain, women's health issues, digestive & respiratory issues, pregnancy, fertility & IVF support, stress & anxiety, emotional issues.
Currently, Nice guidelines recommend acupuncture as a treatment option for chronic pain, chronic tension-type headaches, migraines, prostatitis symptoms and hiccups.

📌How acupuncture is performed-

Very fine sterile needles are inserted into specific points in the body based on your condition. Several points may be used during a typical session, depending on the number of symptoms you have.
Once the needles are in place, they may be left in position from a few minutes up to approximately 30 minutes. You may feel a tingling or a dull ache when the needles are inserted but you should not experience any significant pain.

☎️DM or call if you have any further questions or would like to book an appointment !
