🐸 Sapo’s Spirit is moving 🐸

Myself and my practice will be relocating to Craughwell, Co. Galway in September.

As I prepare to make this transition, I will have a limited amount of appointment times available within the next three weeks in my current Longford practice. If you would like to work with me before the move, get in touch soon as these spaces will fill up quickly!

It is my intention to offer limited monthly appointments in Longford in the near future, but until then I will be based in Craughwell full time.

I extend my deepest gratitude to all those who have travelled from far and wide to work with me here over the past few years. I very much look forward to welcoming you to my new space!

🐸 Sapo’s Spirit Practice Update 🐸

It has been a busy few months here at Sapo’s Spirit. I have had the privilege of working with many clients from the four corners of the island and beyond, and again I want to extend my appreciation and congratulations to you all. I have also assisted on two kambo practitioner training courses which took place in the midlands of Ireland. This work forms part of my preparation to become an IAKP kambo practitioner trainer in the future.

Traditionally kambo is a hunting medicine, taken by tribesmen before a hunt to increase focus, strength and stamina. In my practice, time and time again I witness this energy being received and transmuted into a tonic to support growth and transformation.
There is something magic within the sharpening of gaze, the clarity of thought and the recalibration of direction that is birthed within each kambo session. Witnessing this energy come alive within you all has been a huge inspiration to connect with my inner huntress, allowing me to track and hunt my desires with fresh fervour.

In other news, several weeks ago I found out that I am now recognised as a Master Kambo Practitioner within the IAKP. This came to fruition after completing a period of supervision with IAKP founder, Karen Kanya Darke. During this process I offered mentoring to new qualified practitioners, and completed several case studies as I worked with clients with complex physical and emotional conditions. It is of vital importance to me to continue my education and progression within the personal development field, so that I may support you to the best of my ability.
As the use of indigenous medicines as therapeutic tools continues to increase, so does the number of people who are offering these medicines without proper training, knowledge and respect for them. I am honoured to play a small part in protecting the reputation of this medicine and ensuring that both mine, and the clients of other IAKP practitioners, have a safe experience.

Finally, in an effort to simplify and ensure continued access to kambo for those who need it, I have changed my pricing structure and will now be accepting payment on a sliding scale for both private and group ceremonies. More information can be found at the link below:

🐸 Pricing Updates 🐸

It has been a busy few months here at Sapo’s Spirit, and I want to extend my appreciation and congratulations to all the men and women who have travelled from the four corners of the country and beyond to work with the frog and myself 🐸

I am deeply grateful to be in a position to be of service to you all on your healing journeys, and I believe that part of being in service is to continually assess and respond to your needs, so as to ensure the best experience possible.

In an effort to both simplify and ensure continued access to kambo for those who need it, I have decided to offer a sliding scale payment system for both private and group ceremonies. The invitation will be to pay what you can afford, within the pricing bracket.

It is my hope that this offering will benefit those who are experiencing financial difficulties or have lower incomes, by making kambo more financially accessible. My ability to extend this offering on a continuous basis will be supported by those who can afford to pay at the higher end of the scale for their kambo ceremonies.

I have offered this model of payment to those who need it since the beginning of my practice, but the time now feels right to adopt this as the main model of energy exchange.

The services I offer will not be affected in any way by this change. Both private and group ceremonies will still include personal assessment and preparation advice, consultations, kambo, sananga, aftercare and integration advice, my infamous kambo soup, and all that other good stuff 😉

The new sliding scale pricing will be as follows:

Private Ceremony: €100-€150.
Group Ceremony: €70-€120 pp.
Energy Wave Kambo (Private): €130-€180.
Energy Wave Kambo (Group of 2): €100-€150 pp.
Warrior Initiation (3x3): €200-€250.

🐸 New Offering & Summer Solstice Blessings 🌞

On this day we witness solar energy reaching its peak, inspiring us to step forth and claim our full potential. We see those parts of us that are blooming and radiant reflected in the blossomed flowers and ripe fruits. We feel the energy of 🔥FIRE 🔥That which fuels and inspires, whilst burning away limitations so that we may transform.

Today, as we bask in the energy of the sun, I bring to you an opportunity to bask in the energy of kambo in a new way.

🐸 Energy Wave Kambo 🐸

Energy Wave Kambo differs from all other treatments, in that it does not involve drinking water or experiencing a heavy physical purge. It offers an opportunity to experience the profound energetic healing of kambo in a more gentle, relaxing manner.

With the absence of the traditional physical purge, many people find that they become more aware of the somatic healing qualities of this medicine, as well as being able to receive the wisdom and clarity that kambo brings more readily during the process. The experience of Energy Wave Kambo is often described as being one of tranquility, presence and deep relaxation.

It is recommended that you receive kambo in its traditional form at least twice with me, before deepening your healing journey with Energy Wave Kambo. However, if basic or layered treatments are unsuitable for you, I may suggest we work with this method. Energy Wave Kambo can also be beneficial for those who are near end of life, or are suffering from severe illness.

It is necessary to fast (including water) for at least six hours prior to experiencing Energy Wave Kambo. A session of this type will last roughly four hours, but this may vary.

I have been working with this method of kambo personally and with select clients over the past few months, and I am so excited to begin offering this experience to you all. It is magic! I will be offering Energy Wave Kambo in private ceremonies or for groups of two.

The kambo community is saddened to hear of the recent passing of Peter Gorman. Peter was an investigative journalist who spent extensive time in the Amazon from the 1980's onwards, and is believed to be the first Westerner to experience kambo/sapo.

His experiences led him to publish his popular book Sapo in my Soul, which to this day continues to bring attention to kambo in the Western world.

Peter became an authority in the world of sapo, and shared his knowledge and wisdom of this medicine through jungle expeditions and trainings.

Here is an excerpt from his book, where he records how he felt after his first experience of kambo:

When I awoke a few hours later, I heard voices. But as I came to my senses, I realized I was alone. I looked around and saw I had been washed off, carried to the un-walled hut Steve and I were using, and put into my hammock. I stood and walked to the edge of the hut’s platform floor and realized that the conversation I was overhearing was between two of Pablo’s wives, who were standing nearly 20 yards away. I didn’t understand their dialect, of course, but I was surprised even to hear them from that distance. I walked to the other side of the platform and looked out into the jungle: its noises too were clearer than usual.
And it wasn’t just my hearing that had been improved. My vision, my sense of smell, everything about me felt larger than life, and my body felt immensely strong. When I saw Pablo later that evening, I explained what I was feeling, with hand gestures as much as language. He smiled.
“Bi-ram-bo, sapo,” he said. “Fuerte.”
It was good sapo. Strong.

After two years of training and initiation in the field, I have recently qualified as a Shamanic Therapist and I’m delighted to now be offering shamanic therapy sessions to the public. These involve a powerful combination of energy medicine and shamanic counselling, allowing us to get right to the energetic root of your suffering. As a result, one session of this type of energy medicine can often be as potent as several psychotherapy sessions.

Despite my extensive work with other healing modalities, including kambo, I have found this work to be an indispensable tool in both my personal healing work and my work with clients. These sessions will be offered separately to kambo, and would suit anyone who is looking to experience a powerful shift in their life. For anyone who has been interested in kambo but is perhaps contraindicated or felt that the time wasn’t right, this would be a great alternative.

👁 Sananga Available 👁

My kitchen has been like a scene from Breaking Bad recently, as I have been busy preparing two batches of sananga which have arrived fresh from my source in the Matses tribe of Peru.

Sananga is a traditional Amazonian eye medicine made from the shredded root of the Undulata shrub. It is part of the Apocynaceae plant family, so along with other members of this family, contains the active ingredient Ibogaine. It has been used by many tribes throughout the Amazon for millienia for its physical and energetic benefits.

On a physical level, sananga is traditionally used to refresh the eyes and is applied prior to hunting, to enhance eyesight and sharpen visual perception. It is also used as a traditional remedy for eye diseases such as a cataracts, glaucoma and conjunctivitis.

From an energetic perspective, it is said by Amazon natives that the spirit (energy) of sananga can tap into and act on the root cause of psychosomatic disease, as well as lifting “panema” (negative energy, depression, bad luck, malaise) which may be attributed to this disease.

It grounds us and reconnects us to ourselves as holistic beings, allowing for the release of energetic blockages and repressed emotions. It is believed to balance our energy body and open the third eye, leading to greater inner vision. It also calms the mind and assists a deeper meditation practice.

It is often applied in ceremony before drinking ayahuasca to enhance the visual experience.

The application of sananga is intense, causing a burning and sometimes vibrating sensation in the eyes for several minutes. This instantly gets us in touch with our bodies and our breath, grounding us and causing us to surrender to the medicine and the healing taking place.

🌱 A interesting article about sananga, which is always on offer as an additional medicine at my kambo ceremonies.

🌱 I have a limited supply of fresh sananga available for purchase, which I recently received from the Matses tribe in Peru. Please get in touch if you would like any further info.

“The plant-based sananga eye drops—brewed from the Tabernaemontana genus of shrubs native to the upper Amazon—are said to enhance eyesight and have long been used by indigenous tribes to prevent and treat ocular diseases like glaucoma, cataracts, near-sightedness, and blindness. But sananga is also commonly used to treat skin diseases, infections, arthritis, cancer, and perhaps most interestingly, to clear a person of what is called panema—anxiety, depression, bad luck, negative energies, and laziness.”

Scientific research on sananga eye drops is sparse but indicates these Amazonian eye drops hold great potential to treat a variety of ocular diseases.
