On Friday, 27th February, Bluebird Care Galway proudly took part in Denim Day for Dementia in support of the The Alzheimer Society of Ireland

We were delighted to make a donation on behalf of Bluebird Care Galway to help support the incredible work carried out by ASI.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) is the leading national non-profit organisation providing dementia-specific services, support, and advocacy for people living with dementia and their carers. Their services include home care, day centres, a national helpline, dementia advisers, and social clubs, all designed to improve quality of life and champion the rights of those affected by dementia.

Today, our 23 Bluebird Care offices across Ireland are proudly wearing denim and raising funds for Denim Day for Dementia.

This incredible nationwide fundraiser supports the vital work of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland — from the National Helpline and Family Carer Training to Day Care Services, Social Clubs and Alzheimer’s Cafés.

Across the country, our local teams are getting involved in their communities, wearing their favourite denim and doing their part to help ensure no one faces dementia alone.

The most fashionable fundraiser of the year is back! 👖

Denim Day for Dementia returns on 27th February 2026 and this year, it’s all about coming together to make an even bigger impact.

Last year, an incredible €65,000 was raised to support people living with dementia across Ireland. In 2026, we can go even further.

By simply wearing your favourite denim, you’ll be helping to fund essential services provided by The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, including the National Helpline, Family Carer Training, Day Care Services, Social Clubs and Alzheimer’s Cafés.

Getting involved is easy:

- Order your free Denim Day pack
- Wear your denim at work, school or in your community
- Share your photos using and
- Every euro raised helps ensure that no one faces dementia alone.
