We were delighted to have Niall McNamee in Glanmire Community College yesterday evening. Niall told us his incredibly difficult and insightful story about how easily he got sucked into gambling. He also told us about the impact on his family & friends, and how his time in a residential centre for addiction helped him come through to the other side. We could have listened to him all evening. After he answered many questions, Niall headed back home to Offaly and wished us well in our Healthy Clubs journey.

🎶 Calling All Local Musicians! 🎶

Riverstown FC is putting together a community music album to help raise funds for our new pitches and facilities at Brooklodge — and we’re looking for talented local artists to get involved!

Whether you’re a solo performer, band, songwriter, Choir or producer, we’d love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to:
🎤 Showcase your music to a wider audience
🎧 Collaborate with fellow local musicians
💛🖤 Support a great community cause — improving sports facilities for our many local kids and families

The finished album will be released and sold on Bandcamp, with full credit given to all contributing artists.
All proceeds will go directly towards the development of Riverstown FC’s new pitches, lighting and dressing rooms at Brooklodge.

If you’re interested in taking part or learning more, please get in touch.
Contact Anthony: ant.riverstown@gmail.com or at 0879574420

Let’s bring the community together through music and football!

A reminder to come to GCC tomorrow at 7pm to hear Niall McNamee’s personal gambling story. With gambling problems already present with boys and girls around the age of 15/16, we encourage parents and coaches, in particular to attend this insightful free event.
You don’t need to know or be someone that gambles to attend to hear Niall’s journey. Everyone is welcome. Check in the comments below if want more information.

Due to the overwhelming demand for our webinar 'Online Harm - Protecting Children & Young People' in September, ISPCC is delighted to deliver it again.

Our FREE online webinar is for parents/ carers on 'Online Harm - Protecting Children & Young People' and takes place on Tuesday the 11th of November at 7pm.

On the evening, ISPCC Services Manager, Aoife Griffin will look at what you need to know as a parent and how to support your child if they are exposed to financial and sexual extortion online with an opportunity for questions at the end.

Key take aways on the night:

• Learn about the current and growing harm to children and young people

• Trends and issues for children and young people online – AI and Nudify apps

• How to support your child if something does go wrong (emotional support and sign posting to relevant support services)

Registration is now open, and we would appreciate if you could share the above information and the attached leaflets promoting the webinar to all your school community and wider school networks.

By clicking on the below link or the link on the leaflet you will be able to register for this webinar.

Join us for an important evening of hope and healing!

Carrigtwohill Family Resource Centre invites you to our safeTALK su***de prevention training on Monday, November 10th, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 10 PM in the childcare building (T45 FW61).

safeTALK is alertness training that prepares attendees, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a su***de-alert helper. Most people with thoughts of su***de don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive. With this training, you may be able to provide that help.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our Community to come together to educate ourselves on dealing with people who may have thoughts of su***de.

Huge Well done to the Carrigtwohill Family Resource Centre and Staff for organise this free support. Thank you all !
