The latest numbers from our helpline referrals show a 129% increase over the past two months. Our data reveals that 12-17 year olds continue to present in large numbers, with young women particularly struggling with self-harm and the pressures of social media use.

We continue to receive referrals from state agencies and other charities—and the need is greater than ever. If you'd like to support our services and ensure we're always there for young people in crisis, consider pledging a small amount each month. Your support changes lives. 💚 futuresinmind.ie/donate

How to Talk to Your GP About Mental Health 👨🏻‍⚕️👩‍⚕️🏥

For many people in Ireland, walking into a GP's office and saying 'I'm not doing well mentally' is one of the hardest things they will ever do. Whether it is fear of being judged, uncertainty about what to say, or simply not knowing if what they are experiencing is 'bad enough' to mention, many peop...

Could a Vitamin Deficiency Be Affecting Your Mental Health?
When we think about mental health, we often focus on therapy, stress management, and emotional support — and rightly so. But there is another piece of the puzzle that is easy to overlook: nutrition. Growing research suggests that deficiencies in certain vitamins and nutrients can play a significant role in mood, cognition, and overall mental wellbeing

Did you know that our store is one of only two charity shops in Gorey managed and run entirely by volunteers?!

This St Patrick’s Day, Betty Finn and Mary Lipsett gave their time to staff our Gorey shop — just as they have done so generously for years.

Collectively, they have given almost two decades of service. Futures In Mind receives no state funding and these stores are our central source of income. The 80,000 service and free counselling hours provided in Gorey have only been possible because of volunteers like Betty and Mary.

Thank you both for your dedication, kindness and generosity. Your impact is felt by the thousands of people who have used our or benefited from our service over the past 12 years.

By the community, for the community.
