“Don’t Be Nuts- Check the Facts”

The Grafton Barber in partnership with the Marie Keating Foundation are raising awareness of Men’s Health this November. “Don’t be Nuts, Check the facts.” launches today with the support of Actor and Comedian Simon Delaney.

This campaign comes at a time when men’s health needs national attention. No better men than the team at the Grafton Barber to get behind supporting the health of men in Ireland!

The “Don’t Be Nuts- Check the Facts” car air freshener” will be on sale all month in store and online for only €2 with all proceeds supporting our vital services.

These funny and functional fresheners have been developed to raise awareness of men’s health, specifically the most common cancers in men and enable them to get the facts on what to look out for and how to get checked by scanning a QR code linking directly to a “Check the Facts” dedicated page on mariekeating.ie with important advice and information.

The campaign has a clear calling to men of “Don’t be Nuts, Check the facts” urging them to educate themselves on the most common cancers in Ireland.

Design Kenmare grew organically from the town’s thriving creative design and maker community.
Early in 2025 Adrian Duyn - furniture maker and Eamonn O’Sullivan - graphic designer joined forces with photographer Norman McCloskey , hotelier Patrick Hanley and Naoise Nunn of cultural festival specialists Schweppe Curtis Nunn to develop the concept.

They were joined by Natalie Moriarty - graphic designer, Liz O'Sullivan - textile designer and Maureen Gudgeon - festival producer, to build the 3 day programme for the inaugural Design Kenmare Festival November 14 - 16, 2025.

Working with the wider Le Chéile network, they curated an exceptional international line-up — a roster of speakers rarely seen together at one Irish event.
