We are delighted to be hosting a very special International Women's Day webinar with Michele Hill! Michele is a consultant psychiatrist with an extensive background in mental health and ADHD, she is also credited with establishing the HSE Adult ADHD service in Cork.
This talk will explore how ADHD in women is commonly hidden behind achievement, misattributed to personality or mental health problems, and minimised across families, workplaces, and healthcare settings

We’re sharing information from Mya Mulhern, an undergraduate Psychology student at Carlow College, St. Patrick’s, who is completing her final year dissertation.

Mya is conducting a research study exploring stress levels experienced by parents or primary caregivers of children with additional needs in Ireland. The aim of the research is to better understand what contributes to parental stress, along with the coping strategies and supports that parents use.

Participation involves completing a 10-minute anonymous online questionnaire, which includes general demographic questions and standardised wellbeing measures relating to stress, resilience, and life satisfaction.

Please note:
• Participation is entirely voluntary
• All responses are anonymous and confidential
• Data is stored securely in line with GDPR and college regulations
• Once submitted, responses cannot be withdrawn due to anonymity
• Findings will be reported only in summary, anonymous form for academic purposes

If participation raises any concerns or emotional discomfort, the following supports are available:
• Samaritans Ireland: 116 123
• Parentline Ireland: 1890 927 277
• AWARE: 1800 80 48 48
