Christmas three years ago, my life changed when I found a lump. What followed was a difficult journey of appointments, tests, surgeries, chemo, radiotherapy, fear, strength I didn’t yet know I had, and an overwhelming mix of emotions.
It wasn’t easy, and there were days when the road ahead felt long and uncertain but I was blessed with unwavering support from my family and friends.
Today, I look back and see how far I’ve come. Through treatment, recovery, and time, my body has healed and my health has returned. I am stronger, more grateful, and more aware of my own resilience than I ever imagined I could be. What felt like one of the hardest chapters of my life has become a powerful reminder of what the human body and spirit can endure.
If there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s how important it is to listen to your body. Finding that lump early made all the difference. That’s why I want to encourage everyone reading this to check their breasts regularly and never ignore changes, no matter how small they seem. It could feel awkward, easy to forget, or tempting to put off—but it can save your life!
Early detection matters. Awareness matters. And hope matters. It is amazing how our bodies can heal with the right treatment and support. Please take a moment for yourself—check regularly, trust your instincts, and encourage others to do the same 💗
