Patric Injury Clinic

Patric Injury Clinic P.A.T.R.I.C. Injury Clinic was founded in 2012 by Patrick Treacy, operating in Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow. Since starting out, P.A.T.R.I.C. Today, P.A.T.R.I.C.

Experts in Injury assessment, diagnosis and treatment | Pain Management | Injury rehabilitation | Strength and conditioning | Sports injuries | Pre/post operative strengthening and rehab | Everyday issues/injuries - And everything in between! We are a team of Sports Therapists and Athletic Therapists with a combined 47+ years of clinical experience in the industry of musculoskeletal injury assessment, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention. Injury Clinic grew from a humble one-man show to a multi-therapist injury clinic and rehabilitation centre for the community. Injury Clinic employs 5 staff (plus Patrick himself) and has opened its second location in Danville Business Park, Kilkenny City. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to physical therapy; we believe in a hands-on approach centred around manual therapy, such as: deep-tissue, sports, lymphatic drainage and trigger point release massage techniques, dry-needling, cupping, skeletal manipulation, strapping and taping and muscle scraping and modalities such as shockwave therapy, therapeutic ultrasound and electrotherapy (TENS machine). We treat a variety of injuries, physical issues and conditions. The most common would include upper, mid and lower back pain, disc herniations, sciatica, pre-operative strengthening and post-operative rehabilitation of shoulder, elbow, wrist, spine, hip, knee, ankle and foot. We have a comprehensive list of injuries and conditions that we treat on our website which you can view here.

Let’s talk pelvic organ prolapse 🌸

An extremely common phenomenon - and yet only 1 in 5 women experiencing symptoms of it will seek help; meaning 4 in 5 women with POP experience pelvic heaviness, pressure and bulging that impacts their daily lives when intervention could improve these symptoms for them.

Whether the aversion to seeking help is from embarrassment (don’t be silly ladies - we all have bodies!) or confusion, please know: pelvic organ prolapse is highly common and treatable.

At PATRIC Injury Clinic, our Women’s Health Therapist, Marie, will help you with pelvic organ prolapse:

🌸 Strengthen and coordination the pelvic floor
🌸 Improve core and breathing patterns / mechanisms
🌸 Reduce strain of daily tasks and movement
🌸 Understand what activities you can do safely and confidently

With education, tailored exercises and supportive care, many women find significant improvement in their symptoms without the need for surgical intervention.

If you are struggling with pelvic organ prolapse, get in contact with the clinic today and book an appointment with Marie

💥 Mid-Back Pain 💥

Acute thoracic pain is a frequent concern we see in the clinic; it is often triggered by poor posture, muscle strain or joint dysfunction.

The most common symptoms include:
- Sharp, aching or burning between shoulder blades
- Tightness or stiffness with rotation or deep breathing
- Pain aggravated by prolonged sitting, hunching or general poor posture
- Local tenderness or mild radiating discomfort towards ribs or neck

Early assessment and treatment intervention is the best course of action - if you are in pain with your mid-upper back, don’t prolong it. We can help.

📣 Ladies: it’s all connected!

🌸 Pelvic floor dysfunction is an extremely common phenomenon, with 1 in every 3 adult women over 20 suffering with it in some form at one point or another.

🌸 It can range from mildly irritating and inconvenient to daily life-altering and near-debilitating.

🌸 One constant among all cases: a strong core (abdominals, lower back, hips & pelvis) is central to recovery.

🌸 At PATRIC Injury Clinic, our Women’s Health Therapist pays particular attention to the careful and strategic strengthening of your core muscles as part of your pelvic floor dysfunction rehabilitation journey, guiding you every step of the way.

🌸 If you or a loved one suffer with pelvic floor dysfunction: we can help.
