The vision of Lifelinkk is to promote the mental health and wellbeing of our community and to contribute to the prevention of su***de and self-harm by sharing information, breaking down barriers, reducing stigma and influencing service delivery. Lifelinkk: stronger together for mental health is an umbrella group for all organisations in Kilkenny City and County, State, Voluntary & Community, with a mental health remit. Our Vision: to promote the mental health and wellbeing of our community and to contribute to the prevention of su***de and self-harm by sharing information, breaking down barriers, reducing stigma and influencing service delivery. We will achieve both through forging and strengthening relationships between community and statutory organisations: being a collaborative voice on issues relating to su***de, mental health and wellbeing: contributing to the development and implementation of ‘Connecting for Life Kilkenny’ and any other relevant national or local plans: working with communities to promote mental health and reduce su***de through all available media platforms: sharing and disseminating best practice and knowledge and issues pertaining to quality services in the field and, identifying, supporting and actioning projects aimed at mental health promotion and su***de prevention including annually a seminar for World Su***de Prevention Day in September and a week of events in October for International Mental Health Day. Membership is open to any individual who is a representative (staff or volunteer) of any organisation (community, voluntary or statutory), that has a remit around mental health and/or su***de prevention or any individual who has a genuine interest in the area.
