Our Story

Fully accredited, experienced, professional & discrete psychotherapist. Paul is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, psychologist, lecturer, and clinical researcher, in private practice in Dublin, Carlow and Kilkenny. He is a Training Analyst with the Irish Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, providing personal therapy for candidates in clinical psychoanalytic training. Paul also lectures in psychoanalysis and neuropsychoanalysis at Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, and lectured in undergraduate psychology to Social Care students and Early Childhood Education and Care students at the Institute of Technology, Carlow for many years. Paul has over fifteen years’ experience working in the area of psychological therapies. He is the Course Director of the M.Sc. in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin. He is a former Chairperson of the Irish Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, which provides a comprehensive Clinical Training Programme in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and is a founding member and group leader of Neuropsychoanalysis Ireland. Paul offers consultations in Fitzwilliam Place Dublin 2, Kilkenny City and Carlow town, . In addition to referrals in relation to all areas of general psychotherapy, Paul specialises in psychotherapy for people who have experienced a brain injury, people on the autistic spectrum, and family members of people affected by these issues. Paul also provides a therapeutic consultancy service to professionals in the areas of acquired brain injury, autism, social work, social care work, youth work, early childhood education and care, and foster care.
