Lovely to see past pupil Julie Orr featured in the Wild Geese column in today’s Irish Times business section.

The piece – “Opportunity beckons in East Africa, says Kildare woman based there for 20 years” – highlights Julie’s two decades living and working in East Africa and the opportunities she sees emerging there for Irish businesses and professionals.

It was a lovely service today as we said farewell to our friend, past pupil, and teacher, Dave Clarke.
Rev. and past pupil, James Reid noted that you only have to look at the KHPPU page to see the outpouring of affection from past pupils and colleagues.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share condolences, memories, and anecdotes—they have meant a great deal to Dave’s family and to all who knew him.

KHed Talks - "In Conversation with Leo Varadkar" | 📅 Monday, 24 November 2025 | 🕖 7:00pm | 📍 Wilson Wright Hall



Our KHed Talks begins with past pupil and former Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, who will join us to talk about leadership, life in politics and his memories of the school.

Tickets for this event are €20.00 for adults and €10.00 for students currently in third level education, with proceeds to be shared between The KH Bursary Fund and Global Citizen, a charity dedicated to eliminating extreme poverty. Calling all budding Engineers to join us at our first KH Connected Event. This is an opportunity for undergraduate students and recently qualified graduates interested in pursuing a career in Engineering to find out what it's really like to be an Engineer. We will have a variety of Engineering disciplines for you to explore and people at different stages in their career to talk to. Students can email c.duncan@thekingshospital.ie to book a place.

🏑 Benalmádena Hockey Tour Reunion 💙💛
What a fantastic gathering of KH Hockey past pupils at the KHPPU Mix Room— from the original Benalmádena Tour team right through to recent leavers from 2023–2025!

The stories, laughter, and energy made it feel like no time had passed at all. It was brilliant to see generations of KH hockey players connecting, reminiscing, and celebrating the shared spirit that defines our community.

A huge thank-you to everyone who came along — here’s to more great reunions and maybe even a friendly match or two in the future! 😉🥂

🌟 Class of 1975 – 50 Years of Friendship 💙💛
Half a century on, and still going strong! It was wonderful to welcome the Class of ’75 to The Mix Room on Saturday night for their golden reunion.

Laughter, memories, and stories from their KH days filled the room — a true testament to lifelong friendship and the enduring KH spirit.

What a fantastic turnout from the Class of ’85 at Saturday night’s Mix Room event in Café en Seine.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces catching up, sharing memories, and celebrating four decades since their KH days!
