It's always great to see the artwork and listen to the music in the lovely venue of Cloyne Cathedral.
Sue Van Coppenhagen is also doing an Art Demo.
Looking forward to it.

Just a little insight into our Community Sensory Garden.
Grà Agus Folláine promotes health and wellbeing in the community, we wanted to create a Community Sensory Garden where nature, wellbeing, and community connection thrive.
Our Community Sensory Garden Group works hard to look after the garden, plan future planting and come up with ideas for funding, we have some experienced experts on the group, we all learn from each other, this week we welcomed two new members.
We are working in partnership with Ladysbridge Tidy Towns, we applied for and was successful with funding from Cork County Council AMENITY FUND and also Tesco Youghal Community Fund.
We started last summer with four half barrel planters being installed and planted up at the garden site, two of which are sponsored by Five Roads Ladysbridge.
This year we have plans for a water feature, bat box and Bird box and also planting more plants to stimulate the senses and encourage Butterflies and Bees.
Three Irish Crab Apple Trees will be planted in November, please let us know if you would like to sponsor a tree.
Herb Trough sponsored by The Thatch Ladysbridge has been planted this week.
There is an open afternoon planned for this summer, which will include workshops and children's art activities, date to be confirmed.
The garden is situated at the Picnic Area on Garryvoe Road, a lovely peaceful place for a picnic, meditation or just sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the garden, throughout the year.
If you would like get involved, please contact: Stella 087 182 1158

Grà Agus Folláine our group name means Love and Wellbeing, we wanted to promoted the Irish language by having an Irish name for our group.
Comhrà Cois Tine! Irish Conversation by the Fire, started as a one off session for St Patrick’s Day, everyone who came along enjoyed it so much they asked for it to be a monthly meeting, which it now is, meeting once a month in The Thatch Ladysbridge, dates posted here.
We welcome everyone, from fluent to new to the language and everyone in-between.
A really great way to keep up your Irish language skills or start learning.

Grà Agus Folláine has two Book Clubs, Ladysbridge Book Club which meets monthly on the 2nd Monday of every month at The Thatch Ladysbridge, and Ballymacoda Book Club which meets on the 1st Thursday of every month at Finn's Tavern Ballymacoda.
All Welcome, we have some members who attend both Ladysbridge and Ballymacoda Book Clubs as both read different books.
There is no need to buy every book, books when read can passed around before the next meeting.
Also no need to have read the book, just come along.
Reasons to join Book Club:
You will get to read books you wouldn't normally choose, you will get to discuss books and find out what other readers think, your knowledge of books will increase, you will get to read books that are not well known and most importantly you will find time to read.
We also play random games, for example Book Title Charades was great fun, we have a summer bring and share picnic outdoor meeting for both book clubs.
The Thatch in Ladysbridge has kindly allowed us to have a Community Book Shelf which is situated under the TV on the left-hand side of the bar, please help yourself to a book or leave a book.

Ladysbridge Book Club had a fun meeting this evening.
We discussed The Emperor Of Gladness by Ocean Vuong, now this was definitely another book Like The Bee Sting by Paul Murry which divided the group.
The Emperor Of Gladness was either loved or not really liked at all.
Although well written and great characters, friendships, caring, hope and loneliness in a small American town forgotten by everyone but those who live there.
We played a fun game of Charades based on names of Books we have read in Book Club, and shared cakes as a treat.
Our reads for this month are Heart be at Peace by Donal Ryan and April in Spain by John Boyne.
Our next meeting will be on Monday 11th May, 7.00pm The Thatch Ladysbridge.
All Welcome.
