We had a great discussion tonight at Ballymacoda Book Club.
We discussed Holding by Graham Norton, we all agreed was a great read, if you have never read a Graham Norton book before we really recommend this one, it's very well written, easy to read but covers some sad issues in a very sensitive way, but also has some funny moments, you get totally immersed in the village life.
I must add we all said if we wouldn't have known it was written by Graham Norton, even on audible with Graham Norton reading his book, you really wouldn't know it was him, very talented author.
Our next read is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, this is to celebrate 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth on 16th December 1775.
Our December Read will be a little different, I am going to order a set of 10 books from the Library, these will be chosen by the Library so will be a surprise read.
Our next meeting will be our Christmas bring and share cakes, mince pies etc... on Thursday 4th December 7.00pm Finn’s Tavern Ballymacoda.
