Great discussion at Ballymacoda Book Club this evening.
We discussed Nesting by Roisin O'Donnell.
All agreed it was a well written book, which is set in Dublin and covers the subject of coercive control by a husband towards his wife, it shows the difficulties faced by the woman when trying to leave, and keep herself and children safe and the lack of help and support but also the strength of women and support for each other.
The first book I have seen covering coercive control, which is great to raise awareness.
A must read.
We are currently voting on our next read and will post up result soon.
Next meeting will be Thursday March 5th, Finn’s Tavern Ballymacoda.
