Before we wrote a single line of our new Strategic Plan, we went out and listened. 👂

We surveyed volunteers and community organisations right across County Kildare, held focus groups, and spoke to state bodies and local partners. We wanted to understand what is really happening with volunteering in our county, what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change.

The findings shaped everything in our Strategic Plan 2026–2031. And we’re sharing them now so you can see exactly why our plan is what it is.

Over 28,000 volunteer hours. 1,409 new volunteers in two years. A county growing faster than almost anywhere else in Ireland. And real, honest challenges that we can only tackle together.
