Most new runners ignore these things… until it’s too late😅
✅Start small - don’t jump straight into 5kms, long speed sessions or hard tempo sessions. An easy “run walk” protocol is a great way to start
✅Pick footwear that suits your running gait and foot posture. A running analysis is a good way to find this out
✅Use the 10% rule when increasing your running distances each week. It’s easy to get sucked into increasing your distances by 2 or 3 kilometres each week at the start but this can lead to tendon injuries and stress reactions.
