It was Sally & Hughie Greene's Ruby Wedding Anniversary at the weekend 🎉.
These times are tough on everyone, but it was especially difficult for Sally as she only lives across the road and hadn't seen Hughie in 10 weeks due to the restrictions from COVID 19 Pandemic,
We all done our best at Archview Lodge to celebrate their love ❤ & make happy memories for them in these challenging times...........💕

Inside Out
Hello again and hope you all had a Happy Easter from Inside Out at Archview Lodge.
We have a lot of people to Thank today.
Thanks to all our families for the Easter Treats.
Thanks to the Anonymous Donor who left in a consignment of Easter eggs for residents & staff.
Thanks to Cllr. Kevin Bradley from Highland Bakery letterkenny for the Beautiful Easter Cake.
A big thank you to Bonagee United who last night donated Easter eggs for all and a supply of face masks and hand gel for all our staff. Thanks to Damien and Laurence for taking time out to deliver them. Thanks to John Watson of Watson Hire for supplying the PPE to the Club.
Bonagee Utd are always to the forefront in looking after young and old alike, be it with sport or to lend a helping hand to the local community. Hughie Greene says a big Thank you to all at Bonagee Utd. And looks forward to you all getting back to playing football again soon.
Leaving on a Positive note, all the people mentioned above have shown how we can still safely embrace yet maintain a safe distance.

Inside Out

A big Hello and a very Happy Easter to All of you out there from All of us inside here at Archview Lodge Nursing Home.
We are all doing very well Thank God. We are being well looked after by a team of caring and friendly staff here who help us with all our needs and they do it at our pace which is great.
Our Spiritual needs are being well catered for with our daily prayer group but we look forward to having out Chaplins back to visit.
The karaoke sessions on Sunday afternoons keep us well entertained. Our favourite songs are
I will Survive by Gloria Gaynor & From a Distance by Nancy Griffith.
We are back at school!!!!!!
We look forward each week to Elaine’s Art class and some hidden talents are beginning to appear.
We have learned a few new words, We now know what a “Virtual Family Visit” is by using a thing they call Skype. Its just like a small TV where we can see our family at home and they can see us. Strange thing is we get all spruced up to go on TV but the ones at home must be worrying a lot because last week some of them had heads of black curly hair and this week it was all straight and grey 😂😂.
Social Distancing – It didn’t take us long to understand that. We were used doing that in the dance halls years ago when the parish priest called into do his rounds, just we didn’t have a name for it then.
Over the past couple of weeks we all took part in a “PROJECT”, where each one of us planted a pot of flower bulbs and had an action photograph taken of us planting them. Idea is that we send these bulbs and the photographs along with a scroll containing a message of positivity to our families for Easter.
The lockdown this week has severely hampered this but we will see it through.
You wont hear much from us now for a couple of days because we have a lot of praying to do for you and us and all the staff who have to work through these bad times taking good care of us.
