The Snow Moon is the traditional name for the full moon in February, and it’s loaded with wintry symbolism.
The name comes from Native American and colonial traditions. February was typically the snowiest month of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, making travel and survival especially hard—so the full moon earned a name that reflected those conditions.
In many spiritual or lunar traditions, the Snow Moon represents:
Letting go of what no longer serves you
Inner work rather than outward action
Preparing the ground for spring growth, even if it’s not visible yet
It’s very much a “trust the process” moon—nothing flashy, but deeply powerful.
Don’t forget to place your crystals under the Snow Moon to cleanse, recharge, and set intentions for resilience, clarity, and inner light.
