You don't need to overhaul your life to start feeling better. Sometimes it starts with something as simple as how you breathe.

I'm running a 6-week beginner breathwork course starting Wednesday 15th April, 8:30–9:10pm. Small group, no experience needed.

Over six weeks, you'll learn how to calm your nervous system, sleep better, manage stress and anxiety, and build a short daily practice that sticks.

Spaces are limited. Drop me a DM to find out more or reserve your spot.

Week 5 with Carla and Johan. And they're still working on the same postures we started with in Week 1.

That's not a lack of progress. That's the point.

Yoga therapy isn't about learning something new every session. It's about showing up, doing the work, and trusting that your body will respond in its own time. Sometimes that means repeating the same movements week after week until something quietly shifts.

If you've been watching this series and thinking "that sounds like something I need," my DMs are open. Let's talk about what one-to-one yoga therapy could look like for you.

You don't need a studio full of props to get relief.

Johan couldn't comfortably sit back on his heels, so we improvised. A blanket off the couch, two cushions from the sofa, and suddenly he's melting into the pose with a big grin on his face.

Rolled-up towels, stacks of books, whatever you've got. The goal is to bring the ground up to meet YOU, especially if you're tall like Johan.

Make it work with what you have. That's it. That's the whole philosophy.

🌊 Something exciting is coming after Easter…

I am SO excited to share that I'll be running an Introduction to Pranayama & Breathwork course β€” and I genuinely cannot wait to share this with you all! 🌿

Did you know that your breath is one of the most powerful tools you have for managing stress? Most of us are breathing our way through life on autopilot β€” but when we learn to breathe with intention, everything changes.

In this course, you'll discover:
✦ What pranayama is and the science behind why it works
✦ Core breathwork techniques you can use straight away
✦ How breathwork calms your nervous system and eases anxiety
✦ Simple daily practices that fit into your real, busy life

No experience needed β€” just an open mind and a willingness to breathe a little deeper. 🌸

πŸŽ“ This course is grounded in the Philip Xerri Pranayama Foundation Course β€” one of the most respected pranayama programmes in the UK & Ireland, as recognised by the British Wheel of Yoga. You're in safe, experienced hands.

Spaces will be small and personal, so if this is calling to you, don't wait!

That knot in your shoulder that never goes away? Johan knows the feeling.

He's had this tension in his left shoulder blade that even the physio hasn't fully shifted. Every time he breathes in, it pulls. Every exhale, it lets go a little.

Threading the needle targets exactly that spot. The key is not to force it. Let gravity do the work. Soften the fingers. Soften the jaw. And use your exhale as medicine.

Johan's reaction after both sides? "That was so nice. I loved the focus on the shoulders."

If you carry stress in your shoulders (and let's be honest, who doesn't), try this one tonight.

This week I got to do what I love most about yoga therapy.

Carla and Johan had already told me about their specific pain points, so I used our sessions to target exactly that. We started with moves they can do at their desks (where so much of the tension builds up), then came back to the mat to go deeper into what their bodies actually need.

This is what makes yoga therapy different from a class. It's not one-size-fits-all. It's built around your body, your pain, your daily life.

If you've been putting up with stiffness or niggling pain and wondering if someone could actually help, this is what a one-to-one looks like.

Drop me a message and let's chat.

Spending too long at the desk? Your spine is probably crying out for this.

Johan's been glued to his desk and his lower back was feeling it. Cat cow is one of the simplest things you can do to get some movement back into a stiff spine.

A few things people get wrong:

β†’ Weight dumps into the heel of the hand (press through the base of your fingers instead)
β†’ Shoulders roll inward (think external rotation in the upper arm)
β†’ Cranking the neck back (keep it long, no pressure on the back of the neck)

Vertebra by vertebra. Slow. Controlled. And it feels amazing after a long day at the desk.

Your body doesn't need to be pushed into the "right" position. It just needs to be met where it is today.

Not where it was yesterday. Not where you want it to be. Just where it is right now.

That's the practice.

Week 3. Halfway there.

Carla and Johan sit down to chat about what's changed so far. The movements that surprised them. The small shifts they didn't expect. And the bits they actually look forward to now.

Three weeks in and the body is already starting to talk back.

Following along? Week 4 is coming. And if this is making you think about your own aches and niggles, you know where to find me.

Week 2 with Carla and we're building on awareness πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

After a week of catching herself sitting skew at the desk (progress, not perfection), Carla went for her first run in a while. The result? Very stiff hips and inner groins.

This week we worked on:

β†’ Supported butterfly pose for the inner thighs
β†’ Strap work targeting the groins, hamstrings, and hips
β†’ The importance of balancing active stretches with passive rest

Carla's words: "It's the direct stretch I've always felt I needed. It's targeting the exact spot."

The first step is always awareness. The rest follows.

Week 2 with Johan and things are getting real πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ

After a tough week at the desk (and a heavy gym session), we're working through lower back pain, tight shoulders, and that stubborn knot that just won't quit.

This week we focused on:

β†’ Supported child's pose for low back relief
β†’ Cat cow for spinal mobility
β†’ Threading the needle for shoulder tension

The best bit? You don't need fancy equipment. A couch blanket, two cushions, and you're sorted. Bring the earth up to meet you.

Johan's verdict? "This is the life." 😴
