We all have behavioural patterns. These patterns were formed when we needed them the most, but eventually, some tend to overstay their welcome. It can be difficult to wrap our minds around why we habitually postpone finishing important work, or why we tend to enter abusive relationships, or why we get entangled in workplace politics. When we do this, we repeat an old internal drama or schema that was formed during childhood or traumatic events. This can he resolved.
Self-harm is just that - anything that harms the self. It's possible to cause ourselves mental and emotional self-harm that can be just as damaging to us in the long run...
