St. Brigid stands at the turning of the year, when winter begins to ease and the first signs of spring appear.

Imbolc has long marked this moment in Ireland, a time associated with returning light, new life and quiet preparation within the home.

Brigid is linked to the land, the hearth and the daily work that sustained Irish households.

Her cross, woven from rushes was traditionally made on this day and hung in homes as a sign of protection for the year ahead.

Today is a marker of renewal, care and continuity, where the old season gives way carefully, and the new one begins 🌞
