KINDLY SHARE for the benefit of other mothers and mothers to be ... :

It’s worth it to remind ourselves and all the mothers out there that help is available for their newborn infants.

While they are gaining weight/ thriving, colic & pain is a big reality along with sleepless nights.

This pain is real and emotionally very traumatic for the parents too.

In the baby clinic, we careful listen to the mothers & acknowledge first and foremost about this problem and secondly try to look at the careful family history, antenatal history and feeding history .

Your baby can be on a higher risk by looking at various risk factors ( risk scoring) which means your baby can have more higher ( or lower) chance than the others.

One important point we have noticed in our cohort that numbers wise, breast fed babies have shown less pain related issues as compared to bottle fed . Although we do see breast fed babies too but there is no comparison.

Therefore take home message is that if you can able to breastfeed even in combination, try this out please. Do not stop it unless there is a dire need as breast milk still can prime the gut with helpful microbiomes which we can’t ever replicate by probiotics even though probiotics as per evidence based literature does exist.
