We have been very busy in the run up to Christmas with visitors and activities🎅🏻 a big thank you to the students from Kilfinane who brought a teddy bear to every resident and really made us smile with some Christmas songs 🎄 the yearly drive out to see all the local Christmas lights is always an enjoyable night ⛄️

We had a lovely afternoon of Christmas arts and crafts with Maura yesterday. We danced, sang and got into the Christmas spirit 🎅🏻 We always love when Maura comes to see us. A big thank you to her for taking the time to visit 🎄

We were all flat out here on Friday making our Christmas cake 🎄 Godknows came and played music for us to relax after our busy day 🎶

We went on our annual Christmas shopping trip to the Crescent during the week. We listened to Christmas songs on the bus and shopped until we dropped (some more than others!!🛍️). Everyone came home in great spirits after an enjoyable day 🎄

Some snaps of our recent activities. We went to the Charleville Park Hotel last week for tea and even managed to get some dancing in while we were there! We had the Ballyagran school children in to see us today. Our home is always more colourful after their visits with the fabulous artwork on the walls 🎨

We held a rememberance mass today for the members of our St. Gobnaits family who have passed away over the last year. We remember them and their loved ones at this time 💜

Happy Halloween to everyone from our St. Gobnaits family 🎃 we are stocked up with lots of sweets for trick or treaters. We would be delighted to see you all 👻🍬

We lost another lovely member of our St. Gobnaits family yesterday. Mary O’Sullivan was a native of Kerry, and was often referred to as “Kerry Mary” by staff. Mary was a proud nurse and a fabulous person. She was a stylish lady who always had her favourite accessory of her handbag nearby. Mary loved cúpla focal and spending time in the garden. She was a quiet lady with a great sense of humour. Mary will be dearly missed by all, especially her adoring daughters Anna and Norma and extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Maura called this afternoon to do pumpkin carving and flower arranging with us. Bryan also got roped in to help for a while! It ended with some fabulous Halloween decorations to put around our home. A big thank you to Maura and Bryan for taking the time to visit. It’s always a treat to have them back 🎃
