The Northstar Family Support Project is a community based charity providing non-judgemental, confidential support to loved ones and family members of those in substance misuse. Northstar Family Support Project works to achieve some of the following:

- To support families of people suffering the effects of substance misuse

- Provide information to families and communities on services and supports available

- To remain community based and work from community development principles

-To support people through the process of self-empowerment and ongoing coping skills

- To be open to training and development

-To be completely non-judgemental in our approach

-To be open to change in order to respond to the changing needs of our community

-To establish and maintain links with voluntary / community and statutory organisations to enable referrals to be made

-Remember and commemorate those who have died as a result of substance misuse

Making Sense of Political Nonsense is about creating safe and accessible spaces for women to learn more about how our political system works. It is designed for women who are fresh on their journey to becoming more informed or for women who know a little but have lots of questions!
