Surf-on-Shore Want to try surfing but not brave enough to dive into the water straight away? Or just looking for a Let’s shake things up, literally.

SURFSET® is all about getting away from the traditional static workout and challenging your body in new ways. Every exercise on the board is designed to engage your core & stabilizer muscles and shock the system to create real change inside & out. The body builder look is out & the lean surfer physique is in. You have to train like an athlete to build an athletic body type, and that means multi-planar movements that engage the body & mind in challenging and unique ways. A surfer is lean without looking weak, and muscular without the bulk. Sharp muscle lines are perfectly symmetrical, and overall body balance creates that enviable athletic physique. Paddling builds shoulder definition, strengthens the lower back muscles, and increases cardiovascular fitness. Duck-diving through waves builds arm strength: tricep strength in particular. The pop-up maneuver engages the core and pectoral muscles, and helps to build explosive power. And the actual process of standing and riding the wave increases leg strength, flexibility, and engages all the postural muscles. SURFSET® is a full body approach inspired by one of the world’s most athletic sports, and the benefits are not limited to one field of fitness. We draw from the real movements of surfing to create workouts that build balance, core strength, stability, agility, aerobic conditioning, power, lean muscle & coordination. One-to-one training and training for two (if you want to bring your friend) in my seaside house (Beale, near Ballybunion) is available. Comfortable environment, no intimidating mirrors or onlookers just a great workout. I provide Pilates, Ballet Barre, Yoga, Flexibility & Stretching sessions. Gentle exercises that suits every age group. All workouts are personalized and we focus on you and your personal goals, no matter if it is weight loss, toning or just improving flexibility.

I also provide Nutritional Therapy. Your diet contributes 80% to your health and how you feel so it is very important to eat right. I focus on clean eating and not cutting out food groups. With a little tweak you can eat delicious, nutritious meals and snacks so you never feel deprived. No gimmicks here!

I am a qualified Dietary Counselor so if you need a bit of TLC and your eating habits a bit erratic, no worries we can sort that out. Sugar addiction, emotional eating and “I am too busy to cook” type of problems will be sorted too.

I am taking appointments from Monday to Friday. Training sessions are 45 minutes long and cost €20. Nutritional Therapy and Dietary Counselling 1st Initial Consultations last between 1 hour and 1 hours and a half so please allow enough time when you book. Prices start from €60.

My dearest Surfsetters, There will be no classes between 29th November and 3rd December. The first class after a short break will be on the 4th December at 9:00 AM (Barre) followed by Surfset at 10:00 AM.

Class Timetable for autumn and winter (Note: “Open for class or Personal Training Booking” Time Slots can be booked by anyone. Classes need min. 3 people to go ahead. If none of the time slots suits, please feel free to contact me and we can arrange an alternative time for your workout.
