The SCOBYing is strong with this one !!!
Growing since summer 2024 it has made many a beautiful SCOBY for me and others ⭐️

AKA "Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast "

Did you know I grew my own SCOBYs from scratch in my North Kerry kitchen, so they are uniquely mine.
It took months of trial and error to have one grow for me, definitely more fails than yays.
From that original one, I have now approx 30 in my home in and out of kombucha rotation. Some have aged out and are popped on my compost and others are going strong !
I sell some occasional when I have too many, but mostly I keep them for the many many kombuchas I make and sell to my loyal and new customers.

My SCOBYs have given me many opportunities over the last 4, going on 5 years now. I have done all the markets and food festivals I can manage and have met some amazing people in the process.

More recently, my SCOBYs and I won an award, which then, in turn, has given me to another amazing opportunity in the coming months.

My passion and patience for fermentation have paid off, and I can't wait to see what else we (my SCOBYs and I) can achieve together!

Our yearly batch of gingerbread cookies were made earlier than normal to keep a sick little man busy ....
They are super crunchy and don't last long with a cupa !

🎄 Calling all little (and big!) artists 🎄 Our Christmas tree is up, and we need little decorators.
Kids can bring a homemade ornament or one from home and help decorate our Christmas tree this week ✨
Every child who hangs an ornament will get a hot chocolate or a drink of their choice on the house as a thank you ⭐️

2025 Apple Cider kombucha Vinegars🍎

Fermentation station 💚
My very important locally made Kitchen Dresser where All of my SCOBYs grew, much of the Kombucha and Apple Cider Vinegars were brewed on over the last 4.5 years, and many drink related experiments were started on !!!
It also has many of my prize kitchen utensils, including my grandma's kitchen jug !
You could find seeds of all sorts and even an odd cookery book on it.
To say it is essential to the GGG is an understatement! 💚

I love a second hand cook book !
The idea that someone before me has read it lovingly, made the recipes for loved ones, and even gifted it to a specific someone is wonderful.
This letter was in this book as I flicked through it, and it makes me wonder about who it was given to and by and where this had lived for the past years.
The wonder of food is never-ending!
