Our friendly and professional staff are there to support you every step of the way. Most of you will know me as Dr. Eva from Operation Transformation! I am a medical doctor (MD, MPH) with a special interest in weight loss and obesity. I am grateful to now have the reputation as a leading expert in my field and currently remain Ireland’s sole private Medical Practitioner exclusively treating overweight and obesity in adults and children. I am a regular contributor to professional publications, aiming to promote understanding of the consequences of overweight, appearing on a number of television and radio programmes, including Off the Rails, The Big Bite, Prime Time, The Late Late Show, Meet the Family, Corrigan Knows Food and the hugely popular Operation Transformation. I currently run my own weight loss clinic in varies locations around Ireland. I founded Orsmond Clinics (originally Shape-Up Weight Management) in 2001 to pursue my interest in weight loss and nutrition. i have dietitians and nutritionists working with me and together we have helped hundreds of clients lose weight and keep it off. If you would like more information on my clinics and weight loss programmes that I offer visit my website:

Here you can also read testimonials from some of my clients who have experienced life changing weight loss! After qualifying at Pavia University, Italy in 1990, I returned to Finland to practice medicine. I began her training in Public Health and travelled regularly to work in developing countries. In 2000, I moved to Ireland, working in St. I completed my Masters Degree at the Nordic School of Public Health at Goteborg University based on research undertaken at St. Columcille’s Hospital – writing a thesis titled “The Need for Weight Management Among Hospital Staff” (ISBN 91-89479-98-X). I believe that the only way to make any difference to the increasing obesity levels in Ireland is by increasing awareness of the medical consequences of obesity and by motivating people to enjoy a healthier diet, through home cooking. Obesity itself is not treated as a disease in medical practice. Instead, its symptoms (e.g. high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes) are treated with medication. In reality, numerous medical conditions can be treated through lifestyle change – weight reduction and a balanced healthy diet form a fundamental part of this change. I believe that with the right support, education and motivation anyone can achieve weight loss and live a healthier life. Behaviour modification forms the foundation of my approach to the treatment of overweight and obesity.

I’ve just arrived at the building site to inspect how the window installation is coming along. I’m so happy because it seems I’ve found my window prince, Martin ( ) ! 😂😂

I’m truly pleased with this choice and I can’t wait to see the windows fitted, as well as the main entrance door. I’m so excited to see everything finished.

What a lovely Saturday I had with my “Finnish Secret Sauna Society” members 🇫🇮✨

My ultimate death row meal? Without a doubt, Karjalan piirakka (Karelian pies) with creamy egg butter, finished off with smooth Fazer milk chocolate. Absolute heaven.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of tasting Merja’s homemade Karelian pies… and when I say “tasting,” let’s be honest. I devoured about five of them 🤦‍♀️😅 They were simply divine. I have zero self-control when it comes to my favourite Finnish foods. Thank you, Merja 😋🤓

A little history behind it all: we lost part of Karelia during the Winter War, but Finland stood its ground and preserved its independence — unlike many others at the time. That resilience has a name: Finnish SISU. A lesson to the world… don’t mess with the Finns 😉

The evening was completed with a beautiful Finnish sauna ritual by Tiina ✨ followed by a hot tub under the stars 💖🥂🍾

Had the most beautiful evening and I’m still feeling it…

This was my first ever trial of a sauna ritual experience, guided by my lovely friend , who’s just come from further training in Finland. It’s inspired by Kalevala traditions, where so much Finnish cultural wisdom lives: nature, healing, strength, rebirth… and of course, sauna.

In Finland, sauna isn’t just “a hot room” it’s a whole cultural space of grounding, cleansing and starting again. The löyly (the steam) is such a key part of that, it changes everything.

And now I’m already looking forward to the next one…

This walk really pushed me out of my comfort zone.
I’m not a fan of heights, there were a few high points and lots of mud but the views and the exercise were amazing.🌟☘️

All these choices are driving me crazy. 😮‍💨
Luckily, I’ve met some very patient men throughout this whole process.
One of them is definitely Eddie from
I hope I’m not driving you mad too 😅😅🤣🤣

I’ve been getting lots of feedback on the videos, which makes me really happy.
If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them!.

Today Eddie from came to double-check my measurements and finalise the design before the final sign-off.

Of course, I’m feeling a bit nervous… am I making the right decision? 🤔

This is my very first kitchen and home design project on my own.
It’s so lovely to have Evan’s support. ❤️

I’m excited to see the final result, even though I’ve got butterflies at the same time.
My favourite saying… “Feel the fear and do it anyway” — feels more relevant now than ever!

Fingers crossed everything runs smoothly.
I truly hope this will be the kitchen I’ve been dreaming of for so long.
