Practice Updates

As part of the winter initiative, we are extending opening hours from this Tuesday to include:

Tuesdays 8–9am

Tuesday Evenings 5.30–6.30pm

We are currently reviewing very high numbers of influenza cases, which is consistent with national HSE data and projected trends.
To help protect yourself and others, we strongly encourage all patients – especially those at higher risk – to consider getting vaccinated.

Children’s Flu Vaccine

The nasal flu vaccine for children is free, and we encourage families to take full advantage of this seasonal protection.

Walk-In Flu & COVID Vaccination Clinic

Our walk-in vaccination clinics run daily at:
• 12:00 midday
• 4:00 pm

No appointment needed.

Stay well and please consider vaccination to reduce your risk this winter.

A reminder that the number of Influenza cases currently remains high in the community and hospital settings.

Our walk in flu/covid vaccine remains open 12-1 and 4-5 each day.

32 patients are awaiting a bed at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe today, while the figure has reached 73 at University Hospital Galway.
