Only 2 Friday nights left in 2025 .
Christmas is a nice time to get a game, keeping an old tradition alive and supporting the local hall. Our games over Christmas are enhanced further by the many extra prizes being sent in by local friends businesses sponsors and followers.

We are the only remaining game of '45 in County Galway and trying hard to keep this old local tradition alive for as long as we can. It was great to see new faces this year and maybe we have turned a corner. If you can play come along and we promise a great night out.

🎅🏻🎄🙏🌲 Shragh Christmas Craft Fair. 🎅🏻🎄🙏🌲

The committee at Shragh Hall ( aka Shannonside Community group ) wish to thank everybody involved in making this weekends inaugural Christmas craft fair a wonderful success.
Thanks to Rosaleen McMahon and her team of helpers in organising the event, Table bookings , planning , traffic , first aid , kitchen and everything on the day.

We are grateful to all of those who sponsored prizes for the raffle. Please see the list of our sponsors on a pic on this post and remember them when you are spending your few quid at Christmas. Thanks again to David Lyons Gerard Lyons Garage for making the premises available for overflow parking on the day.

Thanks to everyone in the local parishes Woodford Ballinakill Portumna Tynagh Killeen Abbey Duniry Whitegate Mountshannon for turning up and supporting. We hope you are all happy and got something nice for Christmas. Everyones a winner. Great feedback from the punters today about the Coffee Teas and the great sense of a Community Christmas atmosphere.

This is a great start to Christmas locally and makes us all very proud to live in south east Galway. Roll on the next events in the area which are the Woodford Youthclub Community Hall “Sale of Work” in Woodford next Sunday 7th and then the Woodford-Looscaun Christmas Lights being switched on the following Sunday the 14th December.
