❤️ What inspired us to host this open day? ❤️
We see patients every day.
We talk about heart health every day.
We encourage prevention, testing, and early intervention every day.
But sometimes, heart conditions don’t send a warning.
That’s why we’re raising money for the British Heart Foundation. A charity that funds life-saving research, supports families, and helps improve cardiac care across the UK.
Recently, one of our own team members suddenly collapsed without warning.
They woke up with severe chest pain. Paramedics were called and it happened again in the ambulance.
Doctors later diagnosed an AV block this is a serious condition where the electrical signals controlling the heartbeat are disrupted.
Several weeks were spent in hospital before a pacemaker was fitted.
If the heart rate now drops below 50 beats per minute, that device immediately steps in and keeps the heart beating safely.
That pacemaker saved a life.
Today, that same team member is back to their normal, fit and active lifestyle. You would never know what they went through.
This cause is personal to us.
