Great news for !!!

The GP service above the pharmacy at the Dispensary Hub is now open and operational again.

We would like to wish the new operator Dr Notra Medina and all his staff every success with this new service for Macroom and surrounding areas.

The GP service will operate from 10am to 8pm daily. Closed for lunch 2pm-3pm.

⚠️ We’re asking people to stay at home, to shelter in place and not to travel as road and weather conditions are deteriorating across the county.

🟡A Status Yellow Rain warning is in place until 5.00am tomorrow morning.
🟠 A Status Orange Wind warning will be in effect from midnight until 4.00pm tomorrow afternoon.
🔴 The Status Red Wind warning will be in place from 2.00am until 10.00am.

☎️Due to the severity of the Storm, and the potential for widespread fallen trees, fallen power lines, damage to buildings etc, we expect to receive a high volume of incident reports, phone calls etc.

Incidents logged will be assessed and prioritised on an ongoing basis throughout the duration of the storm and during the recovery phase.

Please collect any prescriptions you require today to avoid unnecessary trips out during the weather warnings tomorrow.

We are open this morning. However not all staff have arrived at work yet due to varying road conditions throughout the county.

Please be patient as there will be some delays due to reduced staffing levels today. Please phone ahead to give us as much time as possible to prepare any prescriptions you need today. If it is not urgent please leave it until tomorrow or later in the week to collect any prescriptions.

Hazardous conditions outside the pharmacy: There is slush and ice on the pavements outside the pharmacies so please be careful when you are walking from the car to the pharmacy

Due to the heavy snowfall today the roads are in poor condition in many places. Our staff will assess the roads in their area in the morning and make a decision if it is safe to travel or not.

This is just to let customers know that we may not open at the usual time in the morning to
allow our staff time to get to work if it is safe to do so.

Due to current weather warning from Storm Darragh we are experiencing loss of power at the pharmacies in Ballymakeera and Coachford. We are delaying opening in Ballmakeera, Coachford and Macroom until 11am to ensure everyone is safe travelling to work this morning. Stay safe everyone.
