I'll be running a Peripheral Joint Manipulation Course on the 23rd & 24th of May at the AMST Planet Fitness in Limerick. It's starting to fill up so get in contact if you are a manual therapy professional and would like to learn some of the techniques in the video. This is more than a manipulation course. It is one full day online, at your own pace, where you will view recorded lectures on anatomy and conditions (MSK and non MSK) for all peripheral joints. The two days face-to-face will cover landmarking, orthopaedic testing, mobilisations and manipulations for all peripheral joints. This course is:

Just finished the Pelvic, Sacroiliac Joint & Sacral Manipulation Course in Limerick with this lovely group of professionals. The group consisted of a mix of Physiotherapists, Neuromuscular and Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, and Orthopaedic Sports Massage Therapists. Thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm, contribution and full engagement for an intense weekend. I enjoyed the weekend thoroughly. I also want to thank Katarzyna at the Academy of Massage and Sports Therapy - AMST for hosting the event at her top class venue.

This is a simple way to manipulate the 1st CMC joint where there is joint restriction and perhaps some osteoarthritis of the joint. This should be an easy manipulation and not one to be forced on an individual with severe OA. Also avoid this manipulation where there is pain in the set up for the adjustment. If a fracture is suspected, do not attempt to manipulate and refer for Xray.

A nice way to manipulate the subtalar joint. Dorsiflex to lock up the tibiotalar joint, invert to lock up the navicular, laterally and inferiority rotate the pisiform on the calcaneal bone to open the joint. Compress towards the couch. Apply a HVLAT. Remember.....low amplitude.

This is a simple effective way to manipulate the tibiotalar/talocrural joint at the ankle. That's the main hinge/mortice joint in the ankle. Just one of many effective techniques I teach on my 3 day peripheral course.
