Physical health is very important to all of us. Let that be how we eat, being on a good diet or exercise. Let no person tell you how and what you need to do unless they are professional. We all have people in our lives now and in the past that continuously trying to fix us physically and psychologically, but in a negative way. All that these people were doing was breaking us (not knowing sometimes) not allowing us to break a piece off by ourselves and most importantly allow ourselves to heal. Physically when we were young children and we bombed in to the table with our heads we cried, maybe got a bruise. Even as children we always respected that table again, we all can learn from mistakes, trouble is "not" learning from them. When we exercise in the gym go for that walk or run / cycle etc we push ourselves to be fit, look well and this is the time injuries happen. It might start as an ache but if not checked in time can turn into long term repeat injury. Remember we have one body so take the best care so as to have the enjoyable pain free lifestyle. Not saying to ourselves oh "I cant do that, I'm not built or ready for something like that hill climb etc. One step at a time and before you know it your mind and body feels and looks the way you want it to look, not for others but for ourselves. Most importantly pain is manageable as we become more aware of our values and my directions as a professional. Discipline is the key to every success story how will you write yours.

Hello folks
Great start to 2022 and let's continue to hope that this dreadful virus will be contained and restrained so we can back to living a free lifestyle once again. It has been a very stressful time for everyone these past 2 years. My clients that I have treated so far in these past weeks of this new year, 90% is due to anxiety and stress. These two combinations can take a serious effect to our physical health. Impacted our sleep / diet / headaches dizzy spells and your general wellbeing. Gentle exercise can feel like a massive chore. Going to work and trying to get up in the morning can be torture. It's very difficult nowadays to book an appointment with your local doctor, this in turn adds to the stress. Home life can feel like a prison. But I can say this, when we feel lethargic get off the chair and go for that little walk in the air it will work wonders. If you feel physical discomfort I can help with this conundrum. I have said this on many occasions if you are psychologically exhausted, physically you too will be shattered. 100% of the time we can be our own worst enemy. Kickstart your body with one of my treatments and eradicate aches and pains. Muscles can be rejuvenated, joints can gain stability & tendons can heal with manipulation as too your ligaments. You are then more than half way to completing your goals for 2022. So don't sit and do nothing I am willing to help get the physical goals you strive for this year. Stay safe my friends.

Merry Christmas to all I wish each and everyone a Happy New Year may 2022 be a great and fabulous year.

November is a month that most of us hesitate to love. The month that we remember our loved ones that have passed before us. Christmas is approaching and nights are longer. Clouds seem on top of us, cold damp and dreary. Energy levels are low. The way to combat this way of thinking, simply do a little exercise every day this in turn goes importantly hand in hand by talking to someone, they might feel exactly like you do. Ask them to join in your new exercise plan. You can with simple chair exercises or going for a nice walk. If you are not athletic this is a great start. If you sit for long periods let it be at home or work this will reduce the chance of blood clots in your lower limbs. Remember this one fact our body temperature changes in these winter months, the body has to work harder to create heat within. Stretching is the key to healthy muscular function, so before going for that walk/run/cycle/gym stretch before and after, this will warm muscles before and help cool afterwards, promoting healing. All else fails and you need to continue exercising find yourself in discomfort don't hesitate to contact me in assisting you with your goal. Don't wait until the New Year to start your healthier living. Start today one step at a time.

Hello folks
I have suffered from mental health issues all my life, yes you will think (not no way you???) I get told your walk your talk and so on......Oh your so confident in your job.... it is the hidden plaster or crutch that people dont see physically. I was a jump jockey the first part of my life and suffered horrendous injuries broke many bones and torn ligaments that affected me mentally as well as physically and during the NATO part of the United Nation's missions as a physio I saw horrifying things people only read about so I understand people, as I see every client as some part of who I am. But yes and I'm proud today to acknowledge this as it is who I am reason why I'm a physical therapist, not a psychiatrist ☺️
Now I can see people are feeling the energy of being near the gates of freedom from this pandemic. We still have to continue to use our awareness and be mindful that we are nearly clear from these disastrous 20 months. Physical wellbeing is in everybody's head at this time. Must get fit, lose the covid weight. Remember that one thing that can crucify us all is doing too much exercise too soon too quickly! The importance of looking after our physical body is as important as looking after our mental health! Take your time. Small steps are better than large ones! You still reach the same destination but feel better than you would by rushing & not feeling shattered and out of breath on arrival! We remember flying off the road and getting held up by traffic and 20 miles on you look in the rear view mirror and the car you passed at speed is right behind you we all have been there! Our body suffers later, and our mind suffers at that moment. Always remember that part. This is all of us, so we need to slow down it isn't easy dont I know it more than most, but I keep trying every day because the day we stop trying is the day we fail. Your body should be looked after better than your car. Why because if your car needs new tyres or brakes or a service you get it done immediately, but when it comes to looking after our physical health we all put it on the long finger and forget about ourselves. This is why it is time to put our bodies first before material things! We only die once but live every day, so there no need to do it in agony. DM for a treatment appointment and allow me to assist you in your journey. I hope this has helped in some way. It has helped me in writing it! Thank you all for taking the time to read ☺️
All have a great and safe bank holiday weekend. Pat. 👍
