Hello folks
I have suffered from mental health issues all my life, yes you will think (not no way you???) I get told your walk your talk and so on......Oh your so confident in your job.... it is the hidden plaster or crutch that people dont see physically. I was a jump jockey the first part of my life and suffered horrendous injuries broke many bones and torn ligaments that affected me mentally as well as physically and during the NATO part of the United Nation's missions as a physio I saw horrifying things people only read about so I understand people, as I see every client as some part of who I am. But yes and I'm proud today to acknowledge this as it is who I am reason why I'm a physical therapist, not a psychiatrist ☺️
Now I can see people are feeling the energy of being near the gates of freedom from this pandemic. We still have to continue to use our awareness and be mindful that we are nearly clear from these disastrous 20 months. Physical wellbeing is in everybody's head at this time. Must get fit, lose the covid weight. Remember that one thing that can crucify us all is doing too much exercise too soon too quickly! The importance of looking after our physical body is as important as looking after our mental health! Take your time. Small steps are better than large ones! You still reach the same destination but feel better than you would by rushing & not feeling shattered and out of breath on arrival! We remember flying off the road and getting held up by traffic and 20 miles on you look in the rear view mirror and the car you passed at speed is right behind you we all have been there! Our body suffers later, and our mind suffers at that moment. Always remember that part. This is all of us, so we need to slow down it isn't easy dont I know it more than most, but I keep trying every day because the day we stop trying is the day we fail. Your body should be looked after better than your car. Why because if your car needs new tyres or brakes or a service you get it done immediately, but when it comes to looking after our physical health we all put it on the long finger and forget about ourselves. This is why it is time to put our bodies first before material things! We only die once but live every day, so there no need to do it in agony. DM for a treatment appointment and allow me to assist you in your journey. I hope this has helped in some way. It has helped me in writing it! Thank you all for taking the time to read ☺️
All have a great and safe bank holiday weekend. Pat. 👍
