βœ… The first-ever North Leitrim Glens Run took place on 11th September 2010, and yesterday it came back with a bang after a 10-year break! πŸŽ‰

βœ… From first-time 5k runners to half marathon PBs, everyone pushed themselves further than they ever thought possible and thats what it's all about πŸ’ͺ

Standout performances:
πŸ… Sean McSharry – Half marathon winner in 1hr 26, after playing a match the night before!
πŸ… Jennifer Montgomery – First female & 3rd overall. A serious marathon runner with loads of tallent!
πŸ… Shane Feely – 5k winner and another fast race!
πŸ… Rhona McGloin – 3rd female 5k and constantly improving!
πŸ… Alaine McPartland – 3rd female 10k - Yet another podium!

βœ… A busy weekend for the gym with athletes competing at Hyrox Rome and the Coast to Coast 10 Mile in Sligo
βœ… Declan got his Hyrox season under way with yet another very impressive performance of 64min. Thats sub 65min for his last 3 races!
βœ… Alaine, Annemarie, Fionnuala, Mairead and Stephen headed to Strandhill to the start of the Coast to Coast. Condidtions were perfect and some very fast times were set. Great prep for the .glensrun in just under 2 weeks

About

CiarΓ‘n is a qualified Nutritional Therapist, Personal Trainer, Spin Instructor and Nutrition Lecturer. He is passionate about physical and mental well-being and the concept of fueling and nourishing the body through nutrition. As a keen athlete he has researched scientific approaches to enable faster recovery from the demands placed on the body and in doing so gained valuable insight into the importance of nutrition on cognitive and physical performance.

Seeing the benefits of whole, unprocessed foods in his own diet led CiarΓ‘n to further pursue his research in nutrition and sports performance. All of this has served to strengthen his belief that an understanding of your own individual nutrition and lifestyle needs is paramount to everyday well-being and optimal athletic achievement.
