Eleanor from and myself are holding a taster of a combination of reflexology and sound bath for moms and babies.

We know how hard can be maternity leave in terms of money and we know how important these treatments are for babies. They can help them with many issues and make them feel protected and safe like in the womb thanks to the sound of the Tibetan bowls. For this reason we decided to make the class is FREE and we ask just for a donation if it’s possible because we have to rent a room for this.

✨✨ Let’s talk about advocacy ✨✨

Do you know that you have the right to say “NO”? ❌

When it comes to giving birth we normally put all our trust to the medical professionals because our society taught us that the hospital care is the safest choice. Is it really like this though? 🤔

Research shows that home birth is actually safer than hospital birth because in hospital there are sick people so there are more chances to get something. In addition the medical professionals have to look at the CLOCK so there are more chances for a medicalised birth instead of a physiological one.

A DOULA can either advocate for you or encourage you to advocate for yourself because it’s your birth and you have to do whatever you feel right for yourself. When they recommend you a procedure remember to ask for evidence and for any concern you have and you can always say “I’ll think about it” because nobody can force you.

🌟🌟Meditation and Sound Bath🌟🌟

Every class is different because every time the instruments sound differently and the people react in different ways.

Yesterday we did a Heart meditation technique and it was amazing to energise this part and feel the love spreading all over the body and beyond. When you feel this way you’re more inclined to be grateful and love yourself. 💖

Thanks to this nice feeling it was even better to enjoy the sound bath afterwords. I love giving sound baths because I feel altogether with the music and the vibrations, we’re not separate anymore but I become a means to bring relaxation and healing to the present people. 😍

✨✨Sound Healing’s benefits✨✨

📚 According to the research, Singing bowls have potential to alleviate anxiety, depression, improve quality of sleep and cognitive function and change autistic behavior.

The use of singing bowls can be regarded as a kind of complementary and alternative therapy that combines medicine, psychology and musicology.

These instruments have effect on psychological function including depression, anxiety, stress, tension, anger, fatigue, confusion, vigor, spiritual well-being, positive and negative affect, as well as physiological function including heart rate variability and respiration rate.

⭕️ It’s good to know that Tibetan bowls can’t be placed on the body of the pregnant person because the vibrations cloud be too strong for the baby, but they can be played from distance. As we said sound healing can help the person with discomfort and sleeping issues.

⭕️ During labour the vibrations and sounds of the Tibetan bowls can alleviate the pain and help to stay focused on the breathing.

For my personal experience sound healing and reiki helped me to have two fast births and I think it’s worth it to give it a go. 💖

✨✨ What does a doula do? ✨✨

Before to get pregnant of my first I never heard the word DOULA in my life and I actually didn’t know exactly what it was until I started the course to become a Doula. If I knew about all the support these women can give I’d have had a doula at my births for sure.

Since I gave birth the first time sometimes changed in me and I felt it even more the second time. I knew I wanted to help and support moms before and after giving birth because I know what means don’t have any help around. But I didn’t know exactly how I could do that.

And then I came across .ie website and something “called” me, I felt it the right path for me because I can help women to feel empowered and to make the right choices for themselves. I’m half way through the course and I can’t wait to start this new adventure. 😍
