Delighted to be part of the raising money and awareness of breast cancer. I wouldn't advise my patients to walk 100 Km in 1 day as I did last week but all for a good cause! At least I could treat myself!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Louth couple Niall Carroll and Cara McAdam's 100km in 30 Days challenge for Breast Cancer Ireland is nearing the €1million mark.

After 11 weeks off work due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I am happy to announce that The Maynooth Physiotherapy clinic is going to reopen tomorrow in line with the new Public health guidelines / Irish society of chartered physiotherapists guidelines. Some things will be different ie. We would ask all patients to wear a mask / wash their hands on arrival / we will check your temperature on arrival and query whether you have had any Covid symptoms or contact with a Covid positive patient / only one patient will be allowed in the clinic at a time / each treatment area will be disinfected after each treatment / direct physical contact with patients will be minimised / rehab exercises can be emailed to each patient. Some things won't change ie. We will endeavour to assess / diagnose / treat your injury to our usual high standards and get you back to full function ASAP. For appointments ring us on 016290895 or email us at eomphysiotherapy@gmail.com.

Great to do a piece on the RTE news with Dad about the importance of exercising for elderly people cocooning during this pandemic. Its also vitally important for people post Covid-19 infection to exercise to improve their lung function as research is showing that patients suffer from lung fibrosis post infection with sometimes a 30% decrease in their lung capacity. So get moving and exercising daily.
