💚 A Huge Thank You to Midleton Educate Together National School 💚

We are incredibly greatful to the staff, students and school community of Midleton Educate Together National Schooll for their very generous donation of €455, raised during their Winter Performances.

This kindness and support means so much to us. The funds raised will go directly towards subsidising reduced-cost supports for clients this December, helping ensure that those who need support most can access it during what can be a particularly difficult time of year.

Thank you to everyone involved for thinking of The Midleton Hub and for supporting mental health and wellbeing in our local community. Your generosity truly makes a difference. 🫶

💙 A huge thank you to the staff of ALDI Midleton 💙

We were incredibly greatful to have been chosen to receive a €500 ALDI Gift Card as part of ALDI Ireland’s Community Grants Programme 2025. This nomination, made by the wonderful staff at ALDI Midleton, truly means so much to us.

As a community-based charity without core funding, support like this makes a real and practical difference. We are using the voucher to cover essential supplies such as cleaning products for The Hub, helping us keep the space safe, welcoming, and comfortable for everyone who comes through our doors. Knowing these basics are covered for the next few months allows us to focus our energy where it’s needed most - supporting our community.

Thank you to ALDI Ireland for this programme, and to the Midleton store team for thinking of us and recognising the work we do. Your support goes further than you might realise. 💚

Thanks to everyone who has supported this initiative so far, we are beyond greatful 💚. Every cent raised will go directly back into providing mental health supports and services for our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2025 Christmas Spin with Denis 🎅

We have raised a further €168.70 for The Midleton Hub from that class alone 💪

Along with our cans and bottles collection, we are now standing at €555.85 rasied for this great charity.

Thank you to everyone who continues to donate and hope you all enjoyed the Christmas Spin 🎄

🔷We’re seeing more teenage boys reaching out for support and that matters. 🔷

Recently, we’ve had a significant increase in referrals for teenage boys who are feeling:
• Anxious or overwhelmed
• Lacking confidence or self-belief
• Under pressure at school, home, or socially
• Unsure how to talk about what they’re feeling

At The Midleton Hub, we offer a range of options so young people can engage in a way that feels right for them:
✔ Psychotherapy – a safe, confidential space to explore anxiety, stress, and emotional wellbeing
✔ Relationship Mentoring – building confidence, resilience, and healthy communication
✔ Art Therapy – a creative, non-verbal way to process emotions without pressure

If you’re a parent, guardian, or professional concerned about a teenage boy in your life, early support can make a real difference.

It’s really encouraging to see awareness being raised around problem gambling and the impact it can have on individuals and families. Open conversations like this are so important in helping to reduce stigma and encourage people to seek support.

If you or someone you care about is affected by gambling or gambling-related harm, The Midleton Hub is here to help. We offer a safe, confidential space to talk and access support.

Reaching out can make a real difference.

Gambling Addiction Talk by Tony O'Reilly

Tony O’Reilly delivered a powerful and deeply engaging talk to our TY and 5th Year students on the realities of gambling addiction. Drawing on his personal journey, Tony spoke with honesty, compassion, and remarkable insight, highlighting how easily gambling can spiral and the profound impact it can have on individuals, families, and communities.

Through vivid storytelling and relatable examples, he connected immediately with students, opening their eyes to the hidden risks behind what often seems like harmless fun. His message of awareness, responsibility, and hope resonated strongly, empowering students to recognise warning signs and make informed choices.
