Cornelius O’Donovan, an 82-year-old cancer patient from West Cork, was discharged from hospital after major surgery with the expectation of a Homecare plan. Despite being approved for the package, the service never commenced, leaving him in a "black hole" of care.

Although the HSE approved his care, they were unable to provide carers, citing a lack of available staff in the rural West Cork area. In the absence of professional help, Caregiving fell entirely on his family. His daughter, Sheila, highlighted the immense physical and emotional strain of providing 24-hour medical-grade care without training. Recovering from cancer surgery at 82 is high-risk, the lack of professional monitoring significantly increased the danger of complications or readmission.

Wow, what a win. Super stuff boys and managerial team.

What a win.
Our U14 boys team made history today in front of a huge home crowd by reaching the last 16 of the Sfai national cup after beating Galway premier div out Maree- Oranmore fc by 4 goals to 1. It was a devastating display from the whole squad which saw park race into a 3nil lead with a goal from Max Thornton and a brace from Evan Walsh. The visitors got 1 back before the break from a penalty making it 3-1 at half time.
Park had numerous chances in the second half to quench the game but the post and crossbar denied them on 3 occasions. In the final minute Joey Gibson sealed the win with a well taken goal and the 4-1 result sees park advance to the last 16 of this national competition. Well done to all involved and thanks to Maree- Oranmore for the sporting game.
