This year’s International Women’s Day 2026 is actually about rights, justice and real action for women.

Not slogans.
Not performative messaging.

And certainly not the idea that women must give more in order to gain recognition.

Women should not need to prove their worth.

Women already lead, create, nurture, build businesses, hold families together and contribute to society in powerful ways.

We embody many roles. Time and time again we rise with intelligence, wisdom, resilience and strength.

Yet the fight for women’s rights is far from over.

Today in Dublin, women will march to highlight the ongoing realities of violence and sexual assault and the urgent need to protect a survivor’s right to healing without that process being weaponised against them.

Because real empowerment means women can seek support, speak their truth and pursue justice without fear.

Women deserve safety.
Women deserve dignity.
Women deserve equality.

Not because of what we give but because of who we are.

Misneach means Courage, Courage to push forward through uncertainty.

That courage lives in women every single day.

Proud to stand alongside the incredible women of The Misneach Centre ☘

Delighted to be part of the line-up at WellFest Dublin 2026 this year.

On Saturday 9th May in the WellFEM area, presented by Irish Life Health, I’ll be speaking about Reclaiming Sexual Empowerment, an important conversation around voice, autonomy and healing.

If you’re heading to WellFest, come say hello 💞

Over the years, I’ve seen how much uncertainty therapists carry when starting out in private practice.

So I’ve created a resource I genuinely wish many clinicians had access to earlier.

11 fully editable practice documents paired with an 8 page guidance booklet covering policies, procedures, and everyday ethical considerations.

Simple, practical, and grounded in real clinical work.

Designed to reduce overwhelm and support therapists in building confidence and professional, ethical consistency.

You can explore & purchase the resource here: https://misneachcentre.ie/for-therapist/

Instant Access - Downloadable - Clinically Grounded.

When someone encourages you, that person helps you over a threshold you might otherwise never have crossed on your own. There are times of great uncertainty in every life. Left alone at such a time, you feel dishevelment and confusion like gravity. When a friend comes with words of encouragement, a light and lightness visit you and you begin to find the stairs and the door out of the dark. The sense of encouragement you feel from the friend is not simply her words or gestures; it is rather her whole presence enfolding you and helping you find the concealed door. The encouraging presence manages to understand you and put herself in your shoes. There is no judgement but words of relief and release.

✨ Workshop for Therapists — Returning to the Wisdom of the Body ✨

I’m delighted to share this beautiful upcoming experiential workshop at The Misneach Centre — a full day dedicated to reconnecting with the innate intelligence of the body in therapeutic practice.

Facilitated by highly experienced body psychotherapists Anne Gaffney and Elaine King, whose careers span over 30 years, this immersive day offers a rich opportunity for learning, exploration, and embodied insight.

This promises to be a deeply nourishing and professionally enriching experience and there are only 4 places remaining.

If you feel called, don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your connection to body-based therapeutic wisdom.
