15 hours between pics….. and looking suitably wrecked!
Castle Leslie to Dundalk Half Marathon finish line in less than 12 hours.
All going well with the 1.45 pacer until 12km and a lack of miles in the legs and NO S&C started to make things very tough.
Still a half is a half, and it was good to shake off the winter cobwebs.

When you’ve trained consistently all year, setting the alarm for 6.30am 4 times per week, even on holidays.
Doing intervals on your own before the kids get up,
And telling yourself it will all be worth it is October…..
For injury to hit.
It’s not the end of the world and I honestly don’t know where I would have found the time to train over the last month…..
But there’s nowhere I’d rather be than at that start line in Dublin.

When you’ve trained consistently, setting the alarm for 6.30am 4 times a week, even on holidays;
Doing intervals and tempos on your own before the kids get up,
And you keep telling yourself that it will be worth it in October……
Only for injury to hit.
It’s not the end of the world, and I honestly don’t know where I would have gotten the time to fit in training over the last month anyway…..
But there’s nowhere I’d rather be than in Dublin!
I am so excited for everyone who is at the start line…..
