The clinic will be remaining closed until the middle to end of February. I will be spending the next few weeks rehabing myself after thumb surgery.

After what we witnessed this evening at the European championships it is a grave reminder of the importance of trained medical professionals working with teams and athletes at all levels. As an accredited member of my governing body ARTI Athletic Rehabilitation Therapy Ireland I hold an emergency first responder qualification from the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC). PHECC is an independent statutory agency with
responsibility for standards, education and training in the field of pre-hospital emergency
care. On game day my role goes so much further than doing a massage or tape job. On any given day I could be dealing with concussion, facial lacerations, broken bones, dislocated joints, heat stroke, asthma attacks, and in the most extreme cases heart attack and stroke(I hope I don't have to).
